But now, the toxic fringe has taken a \u200bwoke turn. These\u200b abnormal few\u2064 have managed to achieve normalcy, and \u2063in doing \u200bso, they have claimed victory.<\/p>\n<p>But who loses in this race? Women. And\u2062 when\u2062 women lose, everyone loses.<\/p>\n<p>In a recent women&#8217;s cycling \u200crace in Chicago,\u200d two\u2064 transgender cyclists not \u2063only participated but also took home the gold and \u2062silver \u200bmedals, as reported by the <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/10\/13\/trans-cyclists-take-gold-and-silver-in-chicago-womens-races\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New York Post<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This is not the first time these two individuals have dominated female competitors in\u200c cycling\u2062 competitions. It seems that\u200b winning has\u2063 become\u200d the norm for them, \u2063as long\u2063 as they continue to compete \u2062in the women&#8217;s category.<\/p>\n<p>On October 7, Tessa Johnson, 25, won the gold medal in the Single Speed \u200dand Cat Half categories of the women&#8217;s race. They aim to normalize the abnormal and undermine <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/star-parker-reagan-know-governments-job-conserve-traditional-values-means-stopping-trans-agenda\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">traditional values<\/a> under the guise of moral superiority.<\/p>\n<p>The argument \u2063goes like this: men who \u2064identify as women and women \u200bwho identify as men have been victimized\u2064 by\u200c the majority of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/biological-men-invade-california-womens-prisons-state-callously-gives-defenseless-inmates-humiliating-protection\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">biological men<\/a> and women. How? \u200cBy setting\u200c the \u200cstandard for biological\u200b norms as \u2063the \u200dmajority.<\/p>\n<p>But how does this victimize the minority\u2063 who may or may not have chromosomal abnormalities? It victimizes them because they are in the minority and are\u200c therefore \u200bnot considered biologically \u2063normal.<\/p>\n<p>According to\u2062 a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pewresearch.org\/short-reads\/2022\/06\/07\/about-5-of-young-adults-in-the-u-s-say-their-gender-is-different-from-their-sex-assigned-at-birth\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pew Research<\/a> study in 2022, around 5% \u2063of young \u2062adults \u2062in the U.S. identify their\u2063 gender as different from their assigned sex at birth. Among U.S. adults in general, about 1.6% identify \u2063as transgender.<\/p>\n<p>Even if these \u2064numbers are approximate and slightly \u2062inflated due to media coverage \u200band \u200bsocietal pressures, it\u200d is clear that transgender individuals\u200c have no right to dominate women&#8217;s sports, where at least 95% of the participants are biological females.<\/p>\n<p>They have no right because\u200d it \u200bis simply not fair. According \u200bto the Post,\u2063 Evelyn \u2062Williamson has been racing in the \u2064women&#8217;s category \u2063since 2017 and has earned 18 \u200ctitles. That&#8217;s quite an achievement.<\/p>\n<p>But\u2063 is she a true champion?<\/p>\n<p>According to the \u2064U.K.&#8217;s \u200d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-12626083\/Transgender-cyclists-gold-silver-Chicago-races.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Daily Mail<\/a>, in\u200c 2020, Williamson participated in both the women&#8217;s and \u2063men&#8217;s events at the\u2064 Sky\u2063 Express Winter Criterium. Predictably, she &#8220;won \u200dfirst place \u200dracing against \u2062women but didn&#8217;t place in the men&#8217;s race comprised \u2062of 40 cyclists.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Tessa Johnson\u200c has \u200balso achieved victories by competing in women&#8217;s events as a transgender.\u200c Previously, he competed as a male while riding for Clemson University, according to the\u2063 Mail.<\/p>\n<p>But what&#8217;s the big deal, right? Johnson only won $150 for winning the women&#8217;s Cat Half at\u2063 the Chicago CycloCross, and Williamson took \u2064home a mere \u2064$75 \u200dfor placing fourth\u2064 in the event. \u200cIt may seem \u2063insignificant, but it raises important questions about fairness.<\/p>\n<p>The CycloCross website claims that it&#8217;s all for fun anyway, \u200bso \u2062who cares? According to \u200dthe organizers, &#8220;If you \u2063have found your way to a\u2063 CCC event to race your bike and hopefully have some fun in the process\u2026 then you&#8217;re \u2063welcome\u200b here.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>But this claim of inclusivity and fun falls flat if &#8220;competitive cyclo-cross \u200cracing&#8221; is not fair. If it&#8217;s not fair,\u200c it&#8217;s not truly competitive. Attempting to normalize\u2062 the\u2064 abnormal, as the CCC seems to \u200bbe doing,\u200b sacrifices athletic excellence\u2064 on the altar of an impotent \u2062 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/ceo-bud-light-alternative-putting-money-mouth-combat-wokeness\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wokeness<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Nobody benefits from this, and\u2062 everybody loses.
