Ron \u200dDeSantis has \u2064long been considered a serious challenger \u200dto Trump&#8217;s\u200d path to victory\u200d in the primary.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Fox News poll, DeSantis remains in second place with 13 percent \u200dsupport, \u2062trailing behind Trump by 46 percent.<\/p>\n<p>However, \u200bthere is a \u2062new contender on the rise \u2063- former South Carolina Gov. Nimarata Nikki\u2064 Haley.<\/p>\n<p>Haley&#8217;s support has doubled from\u2064 a meager five \u2063percent in September to a solid 10 percent in \u2063October.<\/p>\n<p>This boost in support can be attributed, in part, to\u2064 her \u2062impressive performances in the first two Republican presidential\u200d debates.<\/p>\n<p>Interestingly, Haley is gaining ground on DeSantis in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/2024-gop-primary-update-trump-and-haley-get-good-news-desantis-and-ramaswamy-not-so-much\/\" title=\"2024 GOP Primary Update: Trump and Haley Thrive, DeSantis and Ramaswamy Struggle.\">key\u200c early primary battleground states<\/a> such\u2064 as New Hampshire and South\u2064 Carolina.<\/p>\n<p>These surveys challenge the conventional\u2064 wisdom that DeSantis\u2064 was a guaranteed second-place \u200dfinisher in the GOP\u2062 primary.<\/p>\n<p>As \u200cfor other candidates, \u2062political upstart\u200c Vivek Ramaswamy&#8217;s quest for the presidential \u2062nomination seems to have lost momentum, as he experienced\u2062 a decline in support from 11 percent to seven percent.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, former New Jersey Gov.
