Version: 4.0.47--><h2>Congressman Reveals\u200c What Made Him Abandon Democratic Socialists:\u2064 &#8216;At That \u200cMoment, I Decided to Renounce \u200cMy Membership&#8217;<\/h2>\n<p>There is virtually nothing \u201cgood\u201d\u200d or worthwhile to emerge from\u2062 the bloody and protracted conflict happening in and near Israel\u200d right \u2063now.<\/p>\n<p>When Hamas terrorists\u2062 launched a brutal assault Saturday morning, the\u2063 videos that emerged were \u2062horrific and disturbing on many levels. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/even-biden-cnn-confirm-israeli-reports-horrendous-crimes-hamas-children\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Children<\/a>, the \u200belderly and women\u2063 were indiscriminately slaughtered or captured\u200c as most of the\u200d world \u200drecoiled in horror.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s all abjectly awful stuff, and things \u2064are assuredly going to\u2063 get much \u2062worse and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/israel-declares-war-first-time-50-years\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">much \u2063bloodier<\/a> before\u200b anything \u200dgets any better.<\/p>\n<p>But if there was one microscopic, minuscule modicum of \u201cgood\u201d to\u2064 emerge\u2064 from the ongoing \u200dhorrors in\u200b the Middle East, it\u2019s that far left\u2064 in America genuinely appears to have no idea how to handle this.<\/p>\n<p>And not unlike a\u2062 deeply confused and \u200ddoomed\u2064 snake, it appears to be eating itself as it struggles to \u2064find a satisfactory line\u200d to\u200b parrot.<\/p>\n<p>One of\u2063 the clearest\u2062 examples\u200d of\u200b this comes from the sphere of buffoonery surrounding the Democratic Socialists of\u2064 America.<\/p>\n<p>The group,\u2064 which \u200cis as \u2064much\u200c of an oxymoron as it sounds, \u200dhas \u200dhad a particularly\u200d tumultuous time dealing with the fallout of the Hamas invasion due to a number \u200cof mitigating factors.<\/p>\n<p>First\u200d and \u200dforemost, DSA\u2019s general response on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trump-received-letter-stating-he-is-target-of-january-6-investigation\/\" title=\"Trump informed of being investigated for January 6 incident.\">social \u2064media\u2062 platform<\/a> \u2062X left \u200dquite a bit to \u2064be desired, and the group was rightly\u200d pilloried for it.<\/p>\n<p>The organization \u2062effectively blamed Israel for\u200b Hamas\u2019 brutal actions.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">DSA is steadfast\u200d in expressing \u2064our solidarity with Palestine.<\/p>\n<p>Today\u2019s events are a\u200b direct \u200dresult of Israel\u2019s apartheid regime\u2014a regime that receives billions in funding from the \u2063United States.<\/p>\n<p>End\u2063 the violence. End the Occupation. Free Palestine. 1\/5<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 DSA (@DemSocialists) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DemSocialists\/status\/1710857364604412350?\">October 8, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In subsequent posts, DSA attempted to distance itself from\u200b the horrific violence being committed by\u2064 Hamas, but\u200d the damage was done. Far-left\u2062 socialists had thrown \u200btheir lot in with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/congressman-reveals-what-made-him-abandon-democratic-socialists-at-that-moment-i-decided-to-renounce-my-membership\/\" title=\"Congressman abandons Democratic Socialists, renounces membership.\">soulless militants beheading \u2062infants<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>But at least\u200d the group\u200d didn\u2019t hem and \u2064haw over where its\u2062 (twisted) \u200callegiance lays.<\/p>\n<p>The same can\u2019t be said about most members of the progressive \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/progressive-squad-members-fire-pathetic-response-barbaric-hamas-invasion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">squad<\/a>\u201d of lawmakers who largely tried to blame\u200d Israel without being \u2063as forthright\u200d as\u2062 DSA.<\/p>\n<p>(It\u2019s\u200d \u201cmost \u200dmembers\u201d because \u2063Rep. \u2062Rashida Tlaib has been relatively clear that\u200c she unequivocally supports the \u200cPalestinian cause \u2014 so\u2062 much so that she\u2019s even beginning to lose support from the leftist haven known as \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/view-host-joy-behar-seems-turn-squad-member-rashida-tlaib\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The \u200cView<\/a>.\u201d)<\/p>\n<p>All the above\u200d led \u200bDemocratic Rep. Shri\u200c Thanedar \u200bof Michigan to vocally announce his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/leftist-congressman-renounces-membership-socialist-group-stance-israel-terror-attacks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">departure<\/a> from DSA in a Wednesday post on \u200dX.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">I renounce my \u2064membership in the DSA <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/rtpxStKW2Q\">pic.twitter.com\/rtpxStKW2Q<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014\u2062 Congressman Shri Thanedar\u200c (@RepShriThanedar) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RepShriThanedar\/status\/1712181950176186851?\">October \u206311, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Thanedar, \u2064despite his political\u2062 and ideological affiliations, raised some sound, salient points when explaining \u2063how the group and its associates drove him away.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cToday, I am officially renouncing my membership in the Democratic Socialists of America,\u201d the\u200b congressman began. \u201cAfter \u200dthe <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/blinken-to-visit-israel-as-us-ramps-up-military-support-for-fight-against-hamas\/\" title=\"Blinken heads to Israel, US boosts military aid against Hamas.\">brutal terrorist attacks<\/a> on Israel, \u2063which\u200b included the indiscriminate murder,\u200c rape, and kidnapping\u200b of innocent men, \u2062women, and children, I can no longer associate with\u2063 an organization unwilling\u200c to call \u200bout\u2064 terrorism\u2063 in all its forms.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSunday\u2019s\u200b hate-filled and antisemitic rally in New York City, promoted \u2062by the NYC-DSA,\u200b makes it\u2064 impossible \u200dfor me to \u2064continue my \u200caffiliation. I stand with Israel and its right to\u2064 defend itself. I can \u200bno longer, in good conscience, maintain any \u200baffiliation with the national organization. At\u2063 that moment, I decided to renounce\u2064 my membership in\u2064 the DSA. As of\u200b the time of my resignation, I was a \u2018member in \u200bgood \u2062standing\u2019 with\u200d the Detroit DSA, according to their website.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>You\u2064 cannot separate socialism from\u2063 socialists,\u2063 as \u2064much as the congressman might hope \u2064for that to be the case. Socialism begets socialists and vice versa \u2014 if one side of that\u2063 equation supports Hamas terrorism, you can\u2019t extricate yourself simply by\u2064 declaring, \u201cI renounce my membership.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>To \u2062his minimal credit, Thanedar \u2062appears about \u2064a quarter \u2062of \u2063the \u2062way there.<\/p>\n<p>Now, if\u200c he just realized how destructive, leeching \u2062and corrupt socialism is on matters\u2063 beyond the Gaza Strip,\u2063 he might be \u2063on to something.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<h3>A \u200bNote from Our Staff:<\/h3>\n<p><em><b>Did you\u2064 know that 90 percent of advertisers \u2064will \u2063have nothing to do with The Western Journal?
