It\u2019s shocking, really, a teacher giving kids a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nccih.nih.gov\/health\/melatonin-what-you-need-to-know\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">hormone \u200dsupplement<\/a> without parental consent. We should really demand better of our educational system.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h3>A Betrayal of Trust: The Disturbing Actions of a \u200bTeacher<\/h3>\n<p>Though\u200c the teacher has resigned, \u2062we should all be flabbergasted and dismayed at this egregious violation of\u2064 the \u200btrust \u200dbetween parents and schools. Today, \u2064melatonin gummies, tomorrow, the teacher, had she not resigned, may have done something especially horrific, like encouraging students to hide really big secrets from their parents. She may have even aided and abetted students in that subterfuge.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2-long d-flex justify-content-center\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center; \" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-1107054311\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1379703300879-0\" class=\"mb-30\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-911dca61554fcb54fd48647b5605e89a fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-911dca61554fcb54fd48647b5605e89a\"><\/div>\n<p>Except, had she, CNN and the \u200drest\u2062 of the\u200b corporate media would not \u200bbe so perturbed. They would probably even cheer the teacher\u200d on. For example, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2023\/09\/07\/us\/california-judge-blocks-school-gender-change-policy-chino-valley\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here\u2019s CNN<\/a> on a policy adopted by the school district in \u2064San Bernadino, California, that would require educators to inform parents if their kids adopted a different so-called \u201cgender identity\u201d while \u2064in the classroom. It\u2063 quotes a teacher \u2062who says, \u201cWe\u2019ll truly hit a milestone\u2063 in our district when \u2018sensitive issues\u2019 aren\u2019t sensitive at\u200d all, and these children can\u200c choose to simply exist exactly \u200dhow they \u200care.\u201d Read: We\u2019ll truly hit a milestone \u2062when teachers can\u200b help students potentially destroy their\u2063 lives without notifying the parents as to what\u2019s going on.<\/p>\n<p>It doesn\u2019t stop there, though. Here\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2023\/08\/24\/us\/pen-america-parental-rights-bills-concern-reaj\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">another CNN piece<\/a> \u2064 on parents\u2019 rights, this time about teaching kids how to be racists and also explore \u2063their \u201cgender expression\u201d and not \u200cthe horrors of a melatonin gummy. Parents\u2019 rights bills, we\u2019re told, have a \u201cchilling\u201d effect on education. Laws letting parents know what\u2019s going \u200con in the \u2064classroom, the article\u200c continues, \u201chave an ulterior motive driving\u2064 them: to empower a vocal and censorship-minded minority with greater opportunity to scrutinize public \u200beducation and \u2064intimidate educators with threats of punishment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>If a \u201ccensorship-minded minority intimidating educators with threats of punishment\u201d is what comes\u2062 to mind when you learn of bills designed to\u2063 keep parents informed about what their kids are learning, perhaps you need to eat a melatonin \u200cgummy yourself, if not something \u200bstronger.<\/p>\n<p>And it\u2019s not \u200bjust \u2063CNN. Here\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/US\/genocidal-transgender-people-begin-flee-states-anti-lgbtq\/story?id=99909913\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ABC<\/a>,\u200b in a profile of families\u2062 with gender non-conforming kids who fled \u201canti-LGBTQ\u201d \u2063states, including Texas and Florida. In the\u200c profile, we learn that\u2062 \u201cstudies, including research in \u2062JAMA \u200cSurgery, have shown that \u2063gender-affirming\u2064 care can \u2064be lifesaving for \u200btransgender and nonbinary children and \u200badolescents, promoting positive mental and physical health and well-being.\u201d Oh, \u2064OK then.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-a3226efbd2a9bc47d10a6c7a395e7973 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-6\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-a3226efbd2a9bc47d10a6c7a395e7973\"><\/div>\n<p>But what \u2063about studies regarding melatonin and its risks? \u200cIn the CNN piece about the teacher\u2062 in \u200dTexas, the authors state, \u2063\u201cthere are uncertainties about\u200c what dose to use and when\u2063 to give it,\u200c the effects of \u200cmelatonin use over long periods of time, and whether melatonin\u2019s benefits outweigh its possible risks.\u201d\u2064 CNN also has an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2023\/06\/29\/opinions\/melatonin-sleep-insomnia-cbti-martin\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">op-ed<\/a> from June of this year that\u200d posits, \u201cYou might want to \u200drethink taking melatonin\u200d as a sleep aid.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, did you know that melatonin may cause headaches, nausea, dizziness, mild anxiety,\u2062 and a host of\u200c other issues? You might if you <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2022\/02\/01\/health\/melatonin-overuse-wellness\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">read CNN<\/a>. (Please note, I\u2019m \u200dnot encouraging you to read \u200dCNN. While the side effects have not been well \u200bstudied, it\u2019s a \u2063risk I\u2019m willing to take for you.)<\/p>\n<p>Are there any\u200c similar risks to transgender interventions \u2014 that is, years of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/doctors-biden-administrations-dangerous-push-for-trans-treatments-for-kids-falsifies-science\/\" title=\"Doctors: Biden Administration\u2019s Dangerous Push For Trans Treatments For Kids Falsifies Science\">wrong-sex hormones<\/a> and genital mutilations?<\/p>\n<p>According to CNN, it doesn\u2019t seem so. Here\u2019s a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/search?q=risks+hormones+transgender&#038;from=0&#038;size=10&#038;page=1&#038;sort=newest&#038;types=all%C2%A7ion=\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">search<\/a> for \u201crisks hormones transgender.\u201d Here\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/search?q=risks+gender+affirming+care&#038;from=0&#038;size=10&#038;page=1&#038;sort=newest&#038;types=all%C2%A7ion=\">one<\/a> \u200dfor \u201crisks gender affirming care.\u201d Here\u2019s are the <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/search?searchtext=risks%20gender%20affirming%20care\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">results<\/a> for\u2063 the same query on ABC\u2019s website.\u2064 <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/search?searchtext=risks%2520hormones%2520transgender\">Here\u2019s<\/a> what the search pulls up on the ABC site if you search for the former.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-8ca3662e7267845fd90bb296ec25801e fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-10\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-8ca3662e7267845fd90bb296ec25801e\"><\/div>\n<p>Notice \u2064anything about those results, like the complete lack of curiosity about what, if\u200d any, long-term side-effects there might be to\u2063 pumping kids full of \u200dhormones \u2063or cutting up their bodies? Jesse Singal, who is in \u2063favor of transgender medical interventions but is actually \u2064curious about the fact that they are still experimental, highlights many of the problems with\u200b the literature surrounding wrongly named \u201cgender-affirming care\u201d in this <a href=\"https:\/\/jessesingal.substack.com\/p\/a-critique-of-scientific-americans\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">article<\/a> on his Substack.
