He shared surveillance footage showing the offender\u2063 pointing a loaded gun at his young child.<\/p>\n<p>Despite \u2062the gravity of the\u2062 situation, the charges \u2064against the attacker were reduced to attempted assault and illegal possession of\u2063 a firearm. The recommended sentence of 12 to 18 months was further diminished\u200d to just eight months in jail.<\/p>\n<p>Myisha \u2062Richards, \u200ca firefighter paramedic, also\u200b suffered a violent assault \u2062while on duty.
