And as far as he was concerned,\u200d he was \u201call in\u201d for Biden\/Harris 2024.<\/p>\n<p>He also spent several months going on the road delivering broadside attacks on Florida\u2019s Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis in \u2063an effort\u2064 to damage \u2064DeSantis as much as possible ahead of the 2024 election\u200c season.<\/p>\n<p>Despite all his cheerleading for Biden, though, \u200dmany suspect he is setting himself up to \u200dbe the consensus candidate when Joe Biden inevitably tumbles and is removed from the Democrat ticket.<\/p>\n<p>In\u2064 preparation, the leftist governor has\u2062 been doling out a series of vetoes on some of his legislature\u2019s more left-wing bills, likely trying to make himself look more centrist and less left-wing so he can jump into the race for 2024.<\/p>\n<p>One recent veto, for \u2062instance, seemed\u200b to go\u2062 right against his long advocacy for the radical transgender agenda when he vetoed a bill that would have allowed the state to remove children from foster parents who refuse to sign pledges affirming \u200dthe transgender agenda.<\/p>\n<p>In \u200bhis veto statement, Newsom said that\u2063 even though \u200bhe shares \u2064a\u200c \u201cdeep commitment to advancing the rights of\u2062 transgender Californians,\u201d he could not \u200bsign the bill.<\/p>\n<p>In another case, Newsom \u2062vetoed a\u200d bill \u2062that would have mandated that the state\u2019s high schools hand out free condoms to kids.<\/p>\n<p>Newsom characterized\u200c that veto as a\u200d cost-saving measure, saying that\u200d he hopes the\u200d legislature will \u201cremain disciplined when considering \u200bbills with significant fiscal implications, such \u2063as this measure.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Speaking of financial implications, Newsom also angered union supporters by vetoing a bill that would have allowed union members to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/these-21-states-are-opting-out-of-enhanced-unemployment-benefits-heres-what-you-need-to-know\/\" title=\"These 21 States Are Opting Out Of Enhanced Unemployment Benefits.
