All the while,\u200c under the table, Hamas was preparing for this big \u200cattack.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;We have been preparing for this for two years,&#8221; he added. &#8220;In order\u200b to keep the attack secret\u200d and successful, the different factions and \u2064our \u2062allies \u2063did not know the zero hour.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Baraka,\u2062 who is based in Lebanon, \u200dalso acknowledged in an \u2062interview \u2063with the Associated Press, \u201cWe were surprised by this great collapse,\u201d and added, \u201cWe were\u200c planning to\u200d make some gains and take prisoners \u2064to exchange them. Palestinians\u2063 said the barriers restricted their\u200d freedom to assemble during the holy month \u2062of Ramadan. Between that and the planned evictions of\u2064 several Palestinian families living in\u200d the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of \u2063East Jerusalem, tensions were high, and it \u200dultimately led to 11 days of fighting between Israel and Hamas.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;Today the rage of Al Aqsa, the rage of our people and nation is exploding.
