They have also shared posts blaming Israel\u200d for the killings and advocating for the destruction of the country, even sharing an image of a\u200d map of Israel labeled with &#8220;Long Live the Palestinian Resistance.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Among the coalition&#8217;s members are a\u200b California group that has curriculum contracts with several <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/the-education-lesson-from-covid-lockdowns-school-choice-is-imperative-for-every-child\/\" title=\"The Education Lesson from COVID Lockdowns: School Choice Is Imperative for Every Child\">large school districts<\/a>, the Minnesota Ethnic Studies Coalition, which\u200c has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/education-consultancy-coalition-for-liberated-ethnic-students-promotes-calls-for-israels-eradication\/\" title=\"Education Consultancy, Coalition for Liberated Ethnic Students, Advocates for Israel's Elimination\">successfully implemented ethnic studies principles<\/a> in the state&#8217;s public school coursework, and National Black Lives Matter at School, which has partnered with the National\u200d Education Association to promote activism in K-12 schools.<\/p>\n<p>These posts shed \u200dlight on the anti-Jewish sentiments \u2062held by far-left education\u2063 activists who aim to incorporate ideas of &#8220;anti-racism&#8221; and social \u2062justice into mainstream curricula nationwide. The coalition&#8217;s principles include teaching\u200c children about \u2062the negative aspects of capitalism and white supremacy, while also emphasizing Palestinian \u200cstudies and supporting teachers and schools against attacks from Zionist and right-wing\u200d forces.<\/p>\n<p>However, even experts in the \u2062field \u2063of education find it alarming that the \u200ccoalition appears\u2064 to embrace Hamas&#8217;s acts\u2062 of terrorism.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;What&#8217;s concerning \u2064is their disregard for the violence inflicted upon Jews in\u2064 Israel at the \u2064moment, and their willingness to excuse it \u200cand attribute\u2063 it to the ideology \u2064they are trying to\u200c promote in schools\u2014using &#8216;settler-colonialism&#8217; as an excuse for the indiscriminate killing of people of all ages,&#8221; said Brandy Shufutinsky, director\u2063 of education and community engagement\u200d for the\u200b Jewish Institute for Liberal\u2064 Values.<\/p>\n<p>The Coalition for Liberated Ethnic Studies has not responded \u2064to requests for comment. According to its website, its mission is to support a &#8220;unified message related to Ethnic\u2063 Studies,&#8221; which includes \u200dresponding swiftly to \u200cdehumanizing actions and pushback \u2064from\u2062 Zionism and right-wing extremists.<\/p>\n<p>The coalition focuses on developing ethnic\u200c studies \u200binstructional materials for children starting from pre-kindergarten and advocates\u200b for the teaching of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/universities-around-the-country-will-host-critical-whiteness-studies-courses\/\" title=\"Universities nationwide to offer 'Critical Whiteness Studies' courses.\">critical\u2063 race theory<\/a>.\u200d One of its points of unity is the rejection of \u200bthe \u2062International Holocaust Remembrance\u2062 Alliance definition of anti-Semitism, which includes labeling \u2063Israel as racist\u2063 and drawing comparisons between Israeli policies and those \u2063of\u2064 the Nazis. Several\u2064 of its members\u2063 have curriculum contracts\u2064 with large school districts and have successfully implemented ethnic studies principles in public school coursework. This means that their biased perspective and anti-Israel sentiments could potentially be integrated into mainstream curricula \u200bacross the country. \u200dThe \u2062principles of the coalition not only emphasize teaching \u200bchildren\u200c about the negative aspects of capitalism and white supremacy but also \u200bhighlight Palestinian studies, while criticizing Zionist\u2062 and right-wing forces. While it is crucial to address any\u200d form of extremism, it is \u2062equally \u200dimportant to ensure that this response does not veer into anti-Israel sentiment that\u200b tarnishes the reputation of an entire country and its people.<\/p>\n<p>Ethnic studies are meant to \u200cpromote understanding, \u2063inclusivity, and awareness of diverse cultures and histories.\u2063 However, when bias and political agendas\u2064 seep into educational materials, it undermines the integrity of the field and does a disservice to\u200b students.
