This case highlights the stark contrast in treatment between\u200b the two individuals.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>On Oct. 2 Lincoln,\u200c Nebraska, resident Davonte Brown was sentenced to 24 \u200bmonths in federal\u2064 prison after being arrested \u2063and tried for being an unlawful\u2062 user of controlled substances who possessed\u2063 a firearm, according to \u200ba press release from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/usao-ne\/pr\/lincoln-man-sentenced-24-months-possession-firearm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">United States Attorney\u2019s office of the District of Nebraska<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Brown, who was originally arrested and \u2062indicted in 2020,\u2063 was\u2064 released\u200c from prison\u2064 pending his trial on the condition that he stay in touch with \u2063his probation officer. However, he attempted to flee and \u2064was\u2062 subsequently \u2064re-arrested\u200b this \u200byear.<\/p>\n<p>During the court proceedings, prosecutors presented evidence \u200bthat Brown had\u200b purchased a firearm despite \u200bbeing an unlawful drug user and had even posted images of himself with the gun online. A search warrant was executed, \u200cleading to the discovery of the firearm with \u200cBrown&#8217;s fingerprints on it.<\/p>\n<p>Interestingly, Brown had also shared photographs of himself using and possessing marijuana during the same period, similar to Hunter Biden&#8217;s actions.<\/p>\n<p>Ultimately, Brown pleaded \u200bguilty to the charges and was sentenced by Senior United States District Court Judge John M.
