He had \u2062announced the\u200c deployment of the National Guard, DPS, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/president-trump-pledges-orderly-transition-of-power\/\" title=\"President Trump pledges orderly transition of power\">local law enforcement<\/a> to address\u200d the crisis.<\/p>\n<div class=\"my-5\">\n<p>Mr. Abbott shared\u2064 his declaration on <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GregAbbott_TX\/status\/1704640256429985863?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter<\/a> \u2064on Sept. 20, \u200demphasising the state&#8217;s \u200defforts to secure the border\u200b and the safety of Texan residents, by completing the\u200c border wall, and installing razor wire and marine barriers.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Mexico\u2019s Freight Transport Chamber Protests<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Mexico\u2019s national \u200bfreight transport chamber, the National Chamber of Cargo Transportation (CANACAR), \u200d <a href=\"https:\/\/canacar.com.mx\/persiste-crisis-en-frontera-texas-impacto-1900-mdd-comercio-mexico-eeuu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a> on Sunday that\u200d it joins the concerns of different sectors in Mexico&#8217;s north regarding the crisis that continues on the border \u200bbetween Mexico and Texas due to the\u2064 unilateral\u200d decision of Texas to \u2062impose inspections\u2062 on Mexican trucks seeking to cross into \u200dthe state.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&#8220;It has been 21 days since Governor Greg Abbott&#8217;s administration made the decision to \u2064stop the flow of units \u2064traveling\u2063 over the three bridges that\u200b divide the Ciudad Ju\u00e1rez \u200dregion with El Paso, \u2063Texas,&#8221; the group said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>It added that in this period, CANACAR has \u2064a record backlog of at\u2062 least 19,000 trucks that have not\u200c been able to cross the border, with\u2063 $1.9 billion \u2064in merchandise being stranded at the border. (REUTERS\/Jose Luis Gonzalez)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>The CANACAR\u200d in its statement urged the Texas government to revoke its measure, which\u2063 it said hampers the \u2062region&#8217;s development and\u200d jeopardizes tens of thousands \u2064of\u200c jobs in both \u200cMexico and the United States.<\/p>\n<p>The Mexico\u2019s \u2064freight transport\u2064 chamber also dubbed the\u2063 measure by Texas as &#8220;absurd&#8221; and\u200d said \u200cthat the presence of elements of the \u200bTexas Department of Security at border crossings and the \u2063implementation\u200c of review operations has caused lane closures, and increased crossing times by up to 24 hours.<\/p>\n<div class=\"my-5\">\n<p>According to figures from the Ministry \u2062of Economy, Mexico is the largest buyer\u2064 of Texas exports. \u200cIn 2021, the value of trade in goods with Mexico amounted to \u200c$231 billion, with 400,000 jobs relying on these exchanges.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Border\u2062 Crisis<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>There has been \u2063an ongoing crisis \u200bat the U.S.-Mexico border related to unvetted immigration, which has\u2063 surged to \u200c2,860,127 unvetted immigrants entering the United States in\u200c FY2023,\u2062 as per the \u200d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbp.gov\/newsroom\/stats\/nationwide-encounters\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">latest<\/a> data from U.S. Customs \u2062and Border Protection (CBP).\u2063 These figures significantly surpass the 2020\u200c figure of 646,822 and even the previous high of 2,766,582 seen in 2022.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>The Biden administration has \u200dfaced criticism from Mr. Abbott for failing \u200dto secure \u2064Texas&#8217;s border.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;President Biden\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/texas-governor-details-allegations-of-child-abuse-in-migrant-facilities-slams-admin-for-lack-of-action\/\" title=\"Texas governor details allegations of child abuse in migrant facilities, slams admin. for lack of action\">reckless open border policies<\/a> have created an ongoing crisis at our southern border as record levels of illegal immigrants, deadly\u200c drugs, and weapons\u200b pour\u200b into Texas,&#8221; his \u200coffice \u200bhas said.<\/p>\n<div class=\"my-5\">\n<p>In response to the \u2062unsustainable crisis, for\u2063 which Texas has long \u200bborne the brunt, in 2021, \u200dMr. Abbott launched <a href=\"https:\/\/www.operationlonestar.texas.gov\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Operation Lone Star<\/a>, deploying the \u200bTexas National Guard and Texas Department of Public Safety to the southern border.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&#8220;Operation \u200dLone Star personnel work around-the-clock to detect and repel illegal crossings, arrest human smugglers and cartel gang members, \u2063and stop the flow of \u2063deadly drugs and weapons into our \u2064nation.
