Huh\/AP Photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) earlier issued a notice for\u2063 the airlines \u2063and air missions \u200dto use &#8220;caution&#8221; \u2064while flying at \u2062any altitude within Israeli \u2062airspace.<\/p>\n<p>A notice to air missions caution\u200d notice issued by \u200bthe agency\u200c reads that the current conditions are &#8220;potentially hazardous&#8221; \u2063and that flight crews should keep in &#8220;uninterrupted contact\u201d with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/search-and-rescue-teams-at-site-of-indonesian-plane-crash\/\" title=\"Search and rescue teams at site of Indonesian plane crash\">air traffic control<\/a> all the time when flying in the affected region.<\/p>\n<p>The FAA also cautioned \u200bthat it could potentially issue an announcement on the closure of Israeli\u200b airspace.<\/p>\n<p>In\u2064 an official statement, the FAA said the notice, which mirrors alerts issued by the Israeli government, applies to all altitudes because of events that occurred within 24 hours \u2062of \u200cwhen \u2064the\u2062 statement was released.<\/p>\n<div class=\"my-5\">On \u200dOct. 9, Hong Kong&#8217;s Cathy Pacific and Hungary&#8217;s Wizz Air joined in\u2064 the precautions,\u200d announcing that their flights to and from Tel Aviv have\u200b been canceled until further notice.<\/div>\n<h2>US Embassy Assistance<\/h2>\n<p>The\u2063 U.S. Embassy in Israel has released a security alert advising U.S. citizens\u2064 in the country to seek assistance by contacting the nearest \u200bU.S. Embassy or Consulate \u200bthrough a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/flight-disrupted-to-and-from-tel-aviv-us-may-restrict-use-of-israeli-airspace\/\" title=\"Flights disrupted to\/from Tel Aviv; US may limit Israeli airspace usage.\">designated crisis intake form<\/a>, which can be accessed \u2062via the U.S. Embassy website. Family members have the option to submit \u2063information on behalf of their U.S. citizen relatives.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>&#8220;The situation \u2064in Israel continues to be unpredictable,&#8221; the security alert reads. &#8220;Individuals should follow local government advice to increase their security awareness and remain safe. Mortar and rocket fire may take place without warning.&#8221;<\/p>\n<div class=\"my-5\">According to the State \u200dDepartment, U.S. travelers in Israel and the West Bank are <a href=\"https:\/\/travel.state.gov\/content\/travel\/en\/traveladvisories\/traveladvisories\/israel-west-bank-and-gaza-travel-advisory.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">urged<\/a> to\u2062 &#8220;exercise increased caution&#8221; because of terrorism and \u200bcivil unrest. A\u2063 &#8220;do not travel&#8221; warning for Gaza remains\u200d in place.<\/div>\n<div class=\"my-5\">&#8220;U.S. citizens in Gaza\u200b who wish to \u200dleave and can do so safely are advised to check the status of the Rafah Crossing into Egypt,&#8221; the \u2063department <a href=\"https:\/\/travel.state.gov\/content\/travel\/en\/traveladvisories\/ea\/situation-in-israel-2023.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">stated<\/a> on Oct. 8.<\/p>\n<h2>&#8216;We Are at War&#8217;<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<p>Following Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin\u200d Netanyahu&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/IsraeliPM\/status\/1710583005230575705?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">statement<\/a> on Oct. 7, \u201cWe are at war,&#8221; \u200bthe Israeli Security Cabinet formally declared war on Hamas \u200bon Oct. 8.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Netanyahu&#8217;s office described\u200b the move as the first such declaration since the 1973\u200d Yom Kippur War. According to\u2064 a\u2062 statement posted on social \u200bmedia, the Security Cabinet \u2063approved the war situation, authorizing significant military actions as per Article 40 of \u2064Basic Law.<\/p>\n<div class=\"my-5\">&#8220;We follow international law, while exercising our right and responsibility to protect our civilians,&#8221; Israel Defense\u200c Force spokesperson Rear Adm.
