In\u2064 the \u2062post, the\u200c U.S.\u2019 leading diplomat\u2062 stated \u200cthat he encouraged Turkey to\u2064 advocate for \u200d <strong>a cease-fire<\/strong>, as well as <strong>the release of all \u2064hostages held<\/strong> by \u200bHamas\u200d \u2014 an Iranian-backed terrorist organization \u2063\u2014 <strong>immediately<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The now-unavailable post was shared \u201cjust as Israel began responding\u201d to Hamas\u2019\u2063 Saturday \u200battacks, according to the New York\u200c Post.<\/p>\n[[<strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/10\/07\/israel-must-eradicate-hamas-and-accept-nothing-less-than-unconditional-surrender\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Israel Must Eradicate Hamas And Accept Nothing Less \u2064Than Unconditional Surrender<\/a><\/strong>]\n<p>Blinken\u2019s\u2063 tweet was not\u200c the first instance in which the Biden\u2064 administration openly pressured Israeli leadership to avoid militarily responding to what has arguably been the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/leftists-claimed-capitol-riot-was-worse-than-9-11-victims-families-say-otherwise\/\" title=\"Leftists Claimed Capitol Riot Was Worse Than 9\/11. Victims\u2019 Families Say Otherwise.\">worst terrorist attack<\/a> in \u2062their nation\u2019s history. Hours\u2063 after Hamas\u2063 started slaughtering innocent \u2062Israeli civilians, the U.S. Office of Palestinian Affairs tweeted, \u201cWe urge <em>all sides<\/em> [emphasis added]  to refrain\u200c from violence and retaliatory attacks. Terror and violence solve nothing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When pressed by The Washington \u2063Free Beacon on the office\u2019s deletion of the tweet, the\u200d State Department claimed \u2064in a statement that the post \u201cwas not approved and does not represent U.S. policy.\u201d It\u2019s\u2062 worth \u200dhighlighting\u200c that Blinken\u2019s tweet encouraging Turkey to advocate for a cease-fire \u2063was published a day after\u2064 the\u200d Free Beacon published\u200c the State Department\u2019s claim.<\/p>\n<p>The Biden administration\u2019s demand that Israel \u2014 which radical Islamists have been attempting to \u200bannihilate since\u2063 its founding \u2014 lay down its arms and negotiate with terrorists \u200bis stunning when considering that these same officials \u200bhave openly encouraged the\u2063 exact opposite policy when it comes\u200d to Russia\u2019s invasion of Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p>While giving a speech in Finland in June, for example, Blinken \u2064pressed \u2062U.S. allies to <em>not<\/em> support a cease-fire or \u200dpeace talks between\u2064 Kyiv and Moscow, arguing \u2062that Ukraine must be \u201cstronger\u201d and \u201ccapable of deterring\u200d and defending\u200d against any future aggression\u201d before it can, as the Associated \u200dPress described,\u2062 \u201cnegotiate \u2064on its own terms.\u201d\u2063 The U.S. secretary of state also claimed in\u2063 March that countries\u2019 push\u2062 for a cease-fire in Ukraine could be \u201ca very cynical\u200d trap\u201d allowing Moscow to maintain control\u2063 of Ukrainian territory it acquired during its invasion.<\/p>\n<p>So, why is the Biden administration demanding a cease-fire in Gaza but not \u200cUkraine? Sure, the situations \u200bare different, but if peace is \u200bthe ultimate objective, shouldn\u2019t\u2062 Biden \u2063and his team be pushing\u200c Ukraine to make peace \u200dwith Russia \u2064in the same way they\u2019re encouraging Israel to engage with Hamas?<\/p>\n<p>Whatever the motivation may \u200dbe, the difference in approach is unsurprising given \u2064the \u200dBiden administration\u2019s anti-Israel\u2063 foreign policy. Continuing \u2063the trend from\u200b the \u2062Obama years, the \u200dBiden\u200b White House has routinely propped up Iran at the expense \u2063of Israel, including \u200dwaiving sanctions and\u2064 unfreezing <strong>billions \u200bof \u2062dollars worth<\/strong> of Iranian assets.
