But the federal government \u2063has long failed to \u2062fulfill its obligations to tribal nations. We must\u2063 do more to honor and uphold\u200b our promises \u2064to Native peoples.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>And blah and blah and blah.<\/p>\n<p>Social media users familiar with Warren\u2019s background weren\u2019t buying it:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe really has no shame, does \u200cshe?\u201d one wrote.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-conversation=\"none\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">She really has no shame does she<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 silencedogood (@Common_sense776) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Common_sense776\/status\/1711380826364027124?\">October \u200c9, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>No, she clearly doesn\u2019t.<\/p>\n<p>Warren, as most Americans might recall, is the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/elizabeth-warrens-attempt-to-commemorate-indigenous-peoples-day-didnt-go-so-well\/\" title=\"Elizabeth Warren's Indigenous Peoples Day commemoration fell short.\">law-professor-turned-hectoring-politican<\/a> \u2064who parlayed \u200bhigh \u2064cheekbones and what she claimed was family \u2063lore \u2062into a\u2062 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/warrens-hometown-paper-publishes-scathing-op-ed-calling-liar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">career-benefiting masquerade<\/a> as\u2064 a \u2064woman of Native American descent.<\/p>\n<p>That decades-long fantasy \u200cfinally exploded when\u200b Warren <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/dna-stunt-backfires-warren-says-story-distant-ancestor-lifts-natives\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">took a DNA test<\/a> that showed she\u2019s \u200bactually between 1\/64th\u200d and 1\/1024th \u200bNative American. That\u2019s about the same infinitesimal genetic \u200dconnection that countless other Americans have with American\u2062 Indians without\u2062 making it \u2063a central, deceptive part of their lives.<\/p>\n<p>But deception is pretty much <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/supposedly-brilliant-elizabeth-warren-plagiarized-one-best-lines-thursdays-debate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Warren\u2019s m.o.<\/a>, though. Another whopper about being fired in \u2063the early 1970s for being pregnant <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/records-contradict-elizabeth-warrens-debate-story-fired-pregnant\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">didn\u2019t hold up<\/a> \u2063 to scrutiny \u2062either.<\/p>\n<p>Normal human beings who are caught publicly lying about specific issues don\u2019t\u200d go out of their way\u200d to get \u2062mixed up \u200bin them in the future \u2064\u2014 the way recovering \u200calcoholics don\u2019t\u2062 go out \u2063of their way to be around liquor. Named for the great\u200c navigator of the 15th century whose greatest \u2064contribution to the Western world was bravery.<\/p>\n<p>He might not have \u200dlanded \u2064where <a href=\"https:\/\/www.history.com\/this-day-in-history\/columbus-reaches-the-new-world\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">he thought\u2062 he\u200d would<\/a>, but if Christopher Columbus hadn\u2019t had the courage to try to find\u200b a way to reach the riches of \u2063Asia without\u2063 fighting \u200dthrough\u2063 the Muslim navies that controlled the waters \u2062east of \u2062Europe,\u2064 he would never have landed\u200c in the Western \u2064Hemisphere. And the landing\u200b of Columbus in the New World sparked\u200d what led to the creation\u2062 of the United States \u2014 \u200ca nation founded \u2062on\u200b the principle of human liberty, \u200dGod\u2019s \u200bgreatest gift to mankind.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s\u2063 a\u200c holiday Columbus deserves.
