His policies align with making America great again,\u2063 which is what everyone wants,&#8221; said Greene, who has endorsed Trump&#8217;s 2024\u200b presidential run.<\/p>\n<p>When asked about the speakership, Trump didn&#8217;t give a \u2064definitive answer but expressed his \u200dfocus on his current presidential campaign.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;re leading by\u200d like 50 points,&#8221; Trump said. &#8220;My focus\u2064 is totally on that. If I can help them \u2062during the process, I would do \u200bit. But we have great people in the Republican Party who will do\u2064 a fantastic job as speaker.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Greene insisted that \u2064Trump remains \u2062open to \u2064the idea of becoming the next House speaker.<\/p>\n<div class=\"my-5\">\n<p>    \u200b  \u200d  &#8220;I&#8217;ve talked with him about it. I will nominate him. I&#8217;m\u200d supporting him to everyone I talk to, and I think he&#8217;s definitely open to it,&#8221; she said.<br \/>\n    \u200c<\/p>\n<h2>Other Issues to Consider<\/h2>\n<p>    \u200d   \u2062One potential point of contention during the speakership contest is support for Ukraine. Jordan\u200b has indicated that additional rounds of Ukraine aid are not a top priority, emphasizing\u2062 the border situation and \u200dcrime\u200c instead.\n  <\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"my-5\">\n<p>    Jordan, Gaetz, and Greene\u200d were among the House Republicans who voted against a $300 million Ukraine aid \u200cpackage. Scalise and\u2063 McCarthy, \u2062on the other hand, joined\u2064 House Democrats in\u200c passing \u200dthe spending. This division within the majority party could pose challenges as Republicans seek a new speaker.\n  <\/p><\/div>\n<p>Rep. Ro Khanna suggested that the next House speaker should focus on issues beyond party \u2062politics, such as congressional reform.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We need to \u2064ban members from trading stock. We need to ban members from becoming lobbyists. While some are \u200dpushing for a more conservative and Trump-aligned approach, others are advocating for a more moderate and bipartisan stance.<\/p>\n<p>The outcome of this motion to remove McCarthy as House speaker will \u200dundoubtedly shape \u2062the future of the Republican party and its leadership.
