And\u2062 despite the fact Republicans have a massive\u200c lead, we always go late. How can people \u2062still go along and Republicans to go along with Donald Trump?\u201d he asked.<\/p>\n<p>A\u200c <a href=\"https:\/\/news.gallup.com\/poll\/511979\/neither-party-liked-gop-holds-advantage-issues.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gallup poll<\/a> published on Tuesday showed Republicans with a 14 percentage point lead (53 to 39 percent) over \u200dDemocrats on the issue of which party is\u200b better\u2064 at keeping the country prosperous.<\/p>\n<p>That represents the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/poll-republicans-show-largest-lead-dems-dealing-economy-ever-recorded\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">widest gap<\/a> since Gallup\u200d began asking the question in 1991. The margin was 10 percent in the GOP\u2019s favor going into last\u200c year\u2019s midterm elections.<\/p>\n<p>Further, poll\u200c respondents trusted Republicans to keep \u2064the country safe \u200bfrom international terrorism and military threats over Democrats 57 percent to 35\u200c percent. Again this was \u2063the largest gap since Gallup began asking\u2062 the \u200dquestion in 2002.<\/p>\n<p>The poll was \u2062conducted from Sept. 1-23 by phone with 1,016 American\u200d adults.\u2063 The margin of error was +\/- 4 percent.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s \u2062amazing \u2063the \u2062advantage Republicans have going into this election \u2064on the issues, and yet Donald Trump \u2064keeps dragging them down,\u201d Scarborough argued.<\/p>\n<p>Running contrary to\u200c <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/joe-scarborough-complete-meltdown-live-tv-says-trump-town-hall-chilling-thing-since-jan-6\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Scarborough\u2019s<\/a> point\u2062 on Trump being a drag on Republicans, the Real Clear Politics \u2063average of polls shows him leading Biden by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realclearpolitics.com\/epolls\/2024\/president\/us\/general-election-trump-vs-biden-7383.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">1.1 percent<\/a>, while\u2062 Florida Gov. \u2062Ron DeSantis actually trails the incumbent president in a hypothetical matchup by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realclearpolitics.com\/epolls\/2024\/president\/us\/general_election_desantis_vs_biden-7967.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">1.5\u200b percent<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMorning Joe\u201d panelist Jonathan Lemire also\u200c discussed the results of the \u200c <a href=\"https:\/\/law.marquette.edu\/poll\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Marquette Law School Poll<\/a> published Wednesday, \u2064which showed Trump ahead of \u200bBiden among registered\u2064 voters by 51 to 48 percent.<\/p>\n<p>Biden does hold a \u200b51 to 49 percent lead among\u200b likely voters. \u200cIn its coverage MSNBC showed Biden leading Trump among likely \u2063voters surveyed, but failed to mention Trump being ahead\u2062 of Biden among registered voters, though Marquette had it in the \u200dfirst sentence about the \u2064poll results.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Lemire highlighted the \u2062massive lead \u2063Trump\u200c has over Biden on several issues, including the economy (24 percent lead), border\u2063 security (24 percent), inflation\u2062 (23 percent), and creating jobs (19 percent). Republicans\u2064 or Democrats on\u2062 issues like inflation, \u200cthe economy,\u2063 immigration \u2014these are 25, nearly 30\u200c point margins creating jobs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s unbelievable,\u201d a seemingly\u2064 stunned Scarborough responded.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHuge, huge numbers,\u201d Lemire\u2062 said. \u201cNow, the other way, Democrats, as \u200cyou\u200b might expect, more trusted more on climate change, abortion policy, health\u2064 care, Medicare and the like. But elections\u200b so \u200boften\u2026are decided on the economy. And these are\u2062 big warning signs here,\u201d he\u200c added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd certainly, there have been some other surveys \u200cand <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/hillary-clinton-warned-biden-not-to-ignore-threats-from-third-party-report\/\" title=\"Hillary Clinton reportedly cautioned Joe Biden against disregarding potential threats from third-party candidates.\">swing state\u2063 voters<\/a>, particularly among suburban\u2062 voters who dislike Trump immensely but still really disapprove of how this White House has handled the economy,\u201d Lemire said.<\/p>\n<p>He mentioned that the White House sees \u200cthe <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/numbers-dont-lie-trump-sets-biden-straight-admin-best-economy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">economy<\/a> improving and thinks the narrative will begin to change going\u200c into next year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t think that \u200cnarrative\u200d is going to \u2063change,\u201d\u200c Scarborough responded. \u201cThe economists are saying we may still be heading\u200d for a hard\u200b landing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe \u2062White House is \u200dstarting to realize they made a\u2062 really bad mistake with this Bidenomics rollout,\u201d\u2064 he added.\u2062 \u201cIt\u2019s not working. You\u200d can\u2019t convince people the economy\u2019s going great when they \u2063don\u2019t feel like the economy\u2019s going great.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Marquette survey was conducted from Sept. 18-25 with 1,007 adults nationwide.
