Additionally, no state can engage in war without Congress&#8217; consent\u2062 unless \u200dactually invaded or in imminent danger (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.senate.gov\/about\/origins-foundations\/senate-and-constitution\/constitution.htm#a1_sec10\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Article I, Section 10<\/a>). However, with the Biden administration ignoring Section 8, Texas is taking matters into its own hands, moving closer to Section 10.<\/p>\n<p>Governor \u2063Greg Abbott\u2064 has declared\u200c that Texas\u200c will now subject \u200cpeople to arrest for illegal entry into the state from a foreign nation. He emphasizes \u200dthat\u2062 if invaders commit the crime, they will face the consequences, including up to 20\u2062 years in prison for\u200c refusing to comply with\u2062 removal. This bold move by the Republican governor aims to crack\u2063 down \u2063on repeated attempts to enter Texas illegally.<\/p>\n<p>While a special legislative session\u200c was expected to focus on\u2063 education, Governor Abbott&#8217;s agenda goes beyond that.
