Matt Gaetz Criticizes Impeachment Inquiry ‌into President Biden

During‍ a recent fundraiser on Zoom, Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) expressed ⁢his strong opposition to the House’s⁣ impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden, calling it illegitimate. Gaetz compared the effort to a never-ending war‌ that will ultimately result in a stalemate.

The fundraiser, which featured Rep. Matt Rosendale (R-MT) and ⁣was moderated by Steve Bannon, took place just days before Gaetz led a campaign to remove Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) from the speakership.

Gaetz’s Bold Statement

“I don’t believe that we are endeavoring upon a legitimate ⁣impeachment⁢ of Joe Biden,” Gaetz boldly declared. “They’re trying to engage in a, like, ‘forever war’ ‌of impeachment. And like⁢ many of our forever wars, ⁣it will drag on forever and end in a bloody draw.”

Gaetz’s ⁤strong stance ⁢on the impeachment inquiry led him‍ to lead a group of eight Republicans and the entire Democratic House caucus in voting to oust McCarthy in a historic 216-210 vote. Gaetz claimed that McCarthy had made a secret ⁣deal regarding Ukraine funding, while McCarthy believed the motion to vacate⁤ was a personal attack.

Rosendale, who⁢ also criticized the impeachment effort, drew parallels‌ between it and ‍the ⁤federal charges against Hunter Biden.‍ However, he faced backlash for expressing his hope that the GOP ⁣would only secure a narrow advantage in the House during the 2022 midterm elections.

Both Rosendale and Gaetz have their‌ sights set on higher office in the future. Rosendale plans to launch another bid for the Senate⁣ after previously losing to ⁤Sen. ‍Jon Tester (D-MT), while Gaetz is rumored to be considering a run‍ for governor in Florida in 2026, although he denies these reports.

Following McCarthy’s removal, ⁢House Majority⁢ Leader Steve Scalise (R-LA) and Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan ⁣(R-OH) announced their bids for speaker, with other Republicans in the conference also considering ‌running. A candidate forum is scheduled for October 10, and a House floor vote for the new ⁢speaker is planned for October 11. Scalise and Jordan have been gaining endorsements from their House colleagues ‌as the candidate forum approaches.

Click here to read more from The Washington Examiner.

What concerns did Rep. Gaetz express about the potential consequences of the impeachment inquiry,‍ particularly in terms of⁤ further dividing ⁢the country and hindering efforts to ⁢find bipartisan solutions

(R-TN) as a guest speaker, was organized by the Conservative Republican Club. Gaetz spoke passionately ⁢about his concerns regarding the impeachment inquiry and its⁢ potential consequences for the country.

Gaetz argued that the impeachment ‍inquiry was not‌ based on any ⁢concrete ⁣evidence of wrongdoing by President Biden. He claimed that it was nothing more⁤ than a politically motivated attempt to undermine the⁤ Biden administration and‌ hinder its ability to govern effectively.

“Without ⁣any solid evidence of wrongdoing, this impeachment inquiry is nothing more than a witch hunt,” Gaetz stated.‍ “It is a waste of time and taxpayer dollars that ⁤could be better spent⁤ addressing the pressing⁣ issues facing our nation.”

Gaetz ⁣went on ⁢to criticize House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for pushing forward with ⁣the impeachment inquiry without any bipartisan support or ‌input from Republicans. He accused Pelosi of using her position to push a partisan agenda rather than‌ working towards the best interests of ‌the American people.

“The Democrats are‌ using⁤ the impeachment inquiry ⁤as a political ⁤weapon to further‍ their own agenda,” Gaetz asserted. “They are ignoring the voices of millions of ‍Americans ⁢who voted for President Biden and want him to be given a‍ fair chance to lead.”

Gaetz also expressed ⁢his concern that the impeachment inquiry would further divide the country and hinder efforts to <a href="https://www.conservativenewsdaily.net/breaking-news/md-gov-hogan-urges-biden-lawmakers-to-work-together-on-covid-19-relief-legislation/" title="Md. Matt‍ Gaetz strongly criticized the impeachment inquiry into President Biden, labeling it as illegitimate and politically‌ motivated. He expressed concerns⁣ about its ‍potential consequences ⁤for the country ⁤and called for Republicans to reject it ⁢in‍ favor of finding common ground and working ⁢towards bipartisan solutions.
