Los Angeles was such a great host last year, and we\u2019re super excited to come back.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While the Team USA roster is not expected to\u2064 be\u200c announced \u2063until the middle\u200b of\u2062 this month, \u200bit is likely to be much the same as\u200b the group that captured the gold medal at this year\u2019s World Championship in Brampton, Ontario \u2064in April. So, too, are University of\u200b Minnesota\u200d standout Taylor Heise, the No. 1 overall\u2062 selection\u200d in last month\u2019s inaugural Professional Women\u2019s Hockey League draft, and Southern California native\u200c Cayla Barnes.<\/p>\n<p>A member of Team USA\u2019s gold medal-winning entry in the \u20622018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang,\u200b South Korea, Barnes was a four-time Hockey East all-star\u200d at Boston College who is currently playing her final \u200dcollegiate season at Ohio State.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere will be a lot\u2062 of names that everybody knows on these rosters, but we have an evaluation camp, and we have an evaluation period, which the Rivalry Series is \u2062part of,\u201d Ms. Katz said. \u201cWhat\u2019s great about this seven-game series is there are so \u2064many touchpoints to\u2063 see a large majority \u2063of the \u200cplayer pool.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>USA Hockey and Team Canada\u2064 introduced the Rivalry Series with a\u2064 three-game matchup in 2018\u201319.
