Your \u2064state\u2019s IIS cannot issue you a vaccination\u200c card, but \u2063they can provide a digital or paper copy of your full vaccination record, including your COVID-19 vaccinations.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>However,\u200d the days \u2064are largely over \u2063when\u2062 you would need to keep your \u2064white \u200bvaccination card tucked into \u200dyour wallet or purse \u2064if you wanted to attend a \u200bfestival, bar, or \u200brestaurant.<\/p>\n<p>Similar requirements became commonplace and controversial around the \u2062world, prompting\u2062 criticism in some places of a\u200b two-tiered economy.<\/p>\n<p>With \u200btheir necessity now a thing \u2062of the past, federal and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/arizonas-governor-lifts-restrictions-on-businesses-that-limit-capacity\/\" title=\"Arizona\u2019s Governor Lifts Restrictions On Businesses That Limit Capacity\">local health officials<\/a> don&#8217;t expect the discontinuation of\u2063 the cards to be a particularly big change.<\/p>\n<p>In 2021, after President Joe Biden announced vaccine mandates, the ubiquitous white \u2062cards spawned a black market industry, leading U.S. authorities to \u2064declare such actions illegal. New York even made faking a jab card a Class D felony in December 2021, with violators of the new state laws facing anywhere from probation up to seven \u2062years in prison.<\/p>\n<p>That year,\u2064 the Federal Bureau of Investigation stated that buying, selling, or using counterfeit COVID-19 vaccination cards was a crime, and violators would face a fine \u200band up to five\u2064 years in prison. But going forward, people \u2064will\u2063 need to request their immunization records from the health department, a clinic, or a pharmacy as\u2062 they would for any other vaccine.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Heidi Gurov, a nurse consultant at the \u2064Wyoming Department \u2063of Health, advises people to treat their vaccination cards like any other important\u2063 health record \u2064and recommends keeping them in a &#8220;safe spot.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Across the nation, states and certain\u200b cities maintain immunization registries, but the procedures\u2063 for \u200brecord\u2063 inclusion and access can vary. Notably,\u2063 immunization records from\u2064 the mass vaccination efforts during the early pandemic days are typically stored in\u2063 these registries, \u200bdepending on the particular state&#8217;s regulations. There\u2062 is no unified, nationwide immunization record registry \u2063in place.<\/p>\n<p>States vary in their approach to immunization records.\u2064 For example, in Texas, patient consent is required, while places like Wyoming and Philadelphia have providers log vaccinations. Many states offer digital records through apps or websites, allowing users to \u200csave certificates or QR codes as proof of vaccination, with some providing tracking and reminders for future doses.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOne of the positives \u200b(during the pandemic) was having increased autonomy\u2062 on your \u200cpatient record,\u200c especially\u2063 the immunization record,\u201d said Jeff Chorath, who manages the \u200cimmunization information \u200csystem in Washington \u2062state.<\/p>\n<p>Those who&#8217;ve lost their vaccination card\u200b can usually\u200d request their immunization record from where they \u2062got their shot or through their state&#8217;s \u2062registry.
