On the other side, we \u200dhave those who are tired of year \u200dafter year of business as usual and \u2064want to shake things up.\u2063 They \u200care often characterized\u200c as\u2063 MAGA\u200d or America First.<\/p>\n<p>With the recent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/breaking-mccarthy-removed-historic-vote-1st-time-house-speaker-voted\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ousting<\/a> of Republican Speaker of the House Kevin\u2062 McCarthy, it\u2019s almost impossible for those who wish to\u2064 appear to walk the tightrope \u200dbetween the Establishment and MAGA to maintain\u2063 their balance.<\/p>\n<p>A \u2063good example of this is the recent confrontation\u200c between Brian Kilmeade of Fox News and \u200bGOP Rep. Tim <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/republican-congressman-mccarthy-friend-must-follow-conscience\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Burchett<\/a> from Tennessee. Kilmeade wasn\u2019t at all happy with the Republicans \u200bleveraging eight votes to \u2063oust McCarthy. He took \u2064it out on Burchett by \u2062seeming to mock him.<\/p>\n<p>America \u2063First activist Kingsley Cortez posted the exchange on X. She \u200bwrote, <strong>\u201cEstablishment mouthpiece &#038; Swamp shill \u200cBrian Kilmeade mocks TN Rep. Tim Burchett for praying.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">WATCH: Establishment\u200b mouthpiece &#038; Swamp shill \u200cBrian Kilmeade mocks TN Rep. Tim Burchett for\u200b praying.<\/p>\n<p>Disgusting behavior \u200dfrom Murdoch News!\u2063 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/7tNQ4XyrcF\">pic.twitter.com\/7tNQ4XyrcF<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Kingsley Cortes (@KingsleyCortes) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/KingsleyCortes\/status\/1709583186055868749?\">October \u20624, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>It wasn\u2019t a good look for Kilmeade,\u2063 who could hardly contain his contempt for Burchett and Florida Representative <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/matt-gaetzs-father-seeking-return-office-son-faces-potential-expulsion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Matt Gaetz<\/a>, who\u2063 set the ball in motion \u200dto boot McCarthy from his lofty position.<\/p>\n<p>Kilmeade taunted Burchett by \u200casking him if Gaetz was his\u2063 leader. Burchett \u2014 who maintained a calm\u200d demeanor throughout the encounter \u2014 said \u201cI\u2019m not following Matt Gaetz. I made\u2063 my own decision.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/kilmeade-asks-florida-crowd-backing-24-1-says-desantis-even-fence\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kilmeade<\/a> then tried to read Burchett\u2019s mind. \u201cIf Matt Gaetz didn\u2019t \u2063stand up, you\u2063 weren\u2019t going to \u200cchallenge. You\u2064 know that.\u201d Burchett disagreed. \u201cI believe I would have.\u201d To \u200bwhich Kilmeade said, \u201cOh, come on. \u200cPlease.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kilmeade \u2063wasn\u2019t finished insulting his guest. He then mocked \u2064Burchett\u2019s faith. \u201cYou\u2064 were <em>praying<\/em> \u200d about it one minute. The next minute,\u2063 you\u2019re going to lead an insurgency?\u201d\u200c Kilmeade\u2019s pronunciation of \u201cpraying\u201d \u2063was obviously intended to insult Burchett by treating him\u2063 as a country bumpkin or, worse, a terrorist. When you use the words \u201cpraying\u201d and \u201cinsurgency\u201d in the same \u200bline of reasoning, what comes to \u2063mind? The terrorist organization ISIS? <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/white-house-celebrates-radical-maoist-openly-admired-osama-bin-laden-9-11\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Osama bin Laden<\/a>? MAGA?<\/p>\n<p>Burchett, still calm, asked, \u201cSo you\u2063 don\u2019t \u200cthink praying about it\u2019s important? Is that\u2064 what you\u2019re\u200c saying?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOne minute you\u2019re <em>praying<\/em> about how you\u2019re\u200c going to vote with \u2062Matt \u200dGaetz,\u201d Kilmeade interrupted.\u00a0 \u2062And \u200dthen he repeated it for\u2062 emphasis,\u200c \u201cAnd \u2062the next minute you\u2019re\u200c going to lead an insurgency?\u201d \u2063If it wasn\u2019t \u2063clear\u200c the first time, \u2062Kilmeade is \u2062likening <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/jussie-smollett-back-court-convicted-maga-hate-crime-hoax\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MAGA<\/a> \u2063 Republicans to\u200b terrorists.<\/p>\n<p>If you thought <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/fox-news-host-praises-amazing-hillary-clinton-annual-clinton-foundation-gala\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fox News<\/a> was conservative, think again.\u200c That was then. This is now. If Kilmeade\u2019s outburst\u200d tells us\u200c anything, it\u2019s \u200dthat\u200d Fox is not conservative. And they\u2019re not populist. Fox News\u200c is pro-Establishment.<\/p>\n<p>According to Burchett, McCarthy, too, derided his \u2064praying. Burchett told reporters \u2064after the vote,\u2063 \u201cHe \u2063just said something that was\u2063 very condescending \u200bto me \u2014 and it doesn\u2019t\u2062 really matter\u200d at this point \u2014\u200c but at that\u2064 point, I thought to myself that that pretty much\u2063 sealed it right there,\u201d according to <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/house\/4236862-burchett-mccarthy-condescending-remark-faith-speaker-vote\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Hill<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Mocking a man\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/toby-keith-says-leans-faith-prayer-amid-cancer-battle-gods-riding-shotgun-little\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">faith<\/a> \u2064 is a\u2062 sure way to turn \u200dhim against you.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2063 was going down two paths. I \u200csaid \u2064one was keeping my friendship \u2064with Kevin \u2063McCarthy. And two \u200dwas my\u200b conscience. And so \u200dmy conscience won\u2064 out, and \u2063it\u2019s served me pretty well. And I said I would\u200d be praying about it. And I do, I\u2063 ask\u00a0God for wisdom,\u201d Burchett \u200dsaid.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThen the first thing out\u200c of his mouth on the\u200d phone was\u200d something very condescending,\u201d \u2063Burchett continued. \u201cI thought, \u2018Well, I\u2019m\u2062 gonna listen to him. I\u2019m glad he\u2019s calling. I\u2019m \u200dsorry it\u2019s right here at the last hour, but \u200cI\u2019m \u200dgonna listen to him.\u2019 And it \u200dwas something condescending about my religious beliefs, and I just thought, I don\u2019t need that. And that answered my question right there. The\u200d quality and the character there \u2026 maybe that\u2019s the wrong thing to \u200djudge it on, but\u200b that\u2019s what I did.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Establishment\u2019s disdain for\u200d religion further cements the bond\u200b between the\u2062 left and right wings \u2062of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/hannitys-rebuke-gop-radical-abortion-justifies-americas-disappointment-uniparty\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Uniparty<\/a>. In 2008, \u200bBarack Obama caused a stir when \u2064he\u2063 belittled\u2062 those who <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/watch-fox-news-host-brian-kilmeade-seems-to-mock-gop-rep-for-prayer\/\" title=\"Fox News host Brian Kilmeade appears to mock a GOP representative for praying.\">dared resist voting<\/a>\u200d for him.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd it\u2019s \u200dnot surprising then that they \u2064get bitter,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/super-pac-ad-shows-ramaswamy-seemingly-ripping-off-obama-quotes-speeches\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Obama<\/a> said. \u201cThey cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren\u2019t \u200blike them or \u200b<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/tulane-university-to-host-event-on-decolonizing-study-abroad\/\" title=\"Tulane University To Host Event On \u2018Decolonizing Study Abroad\u2019\">anti-immigrant sentiment<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/michael-sandels-vain-quest-for-the-common-good\/\" title=\"Michael Sandel\u2019s Vain Quest for the Common Good\">anti-trade sentiment<\/a> as \u200da way to explain their \u2062frustrations,\u201d\u200c according\u200b to\u200b <a href=\"https:\/\/www.christianitytoday.com\/news\/2008\/april\/obama-they-cling-to-guns-or-religion.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Christianity Today<\/a>.\u00a0 \u200cHe may as well have\u200b called them deplorables for resisting \u200cglobalization.<\/p>\n<p>Never fear, Hillary Clinton was up to the task in 2016, calling half \u200cof\u2064 all Trump supporters \u201cdeplorables.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>What is\u200d it about God \u2064that \u200ctriggers \u2062the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/no-bulls-bongino-offers-host-gop-debate-off-establishment-media-talk-real-issues\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Establishment<\/a>? Could it be because God\u200b is \u2064greater than they can ever be, and they just can\u2019t stomach \u200cthe thought? Whatever \u200bit is, it \u2064bonds \u2064them together, \u200bno \u2063matter what side\u200d of the aisle they find \u200bthemselves on.<\/p>\n<p>Kilmeade probably \u200dwishes he wouldn\u2019t have made \u200dsuch \u2062a public\u200d display out \u2064of his \u200ddisdain for \u2064Burchett. \u2064Theoretically,\u200c they\u2019re\u2063 supposed to be on the \u2063same side \u2014 at least in general.\u00a0 That\u2019s what they want\u200c you to think.<\/p>\n<p>When push comes to shove, however, they can hardly contain their condescending elitist views on\u200d all\u200c of us ignorant religious people and, by association, God Himself.<\/p>\n<p>Their hate always trips them up. They fail to recognize that\u200c the desire for change\u2064 and the frustration with business as usual\u200b is\u200d what fuels the America First movement.<\/p>\n<p>MAGA \u2062supporters, like Burchett and \u200cGaetz, believe in putting \u2062America\u2019s\u2063 interests\u200c first. They are\u200d content with \u200bmaintaining the status quo, even if it means \u200bsacrificing American\u200b interests for their own personal gain. \u200cThey see\u2063 the America First movement as a\u2064 threat to\u200b their power and influence, hence the\u200c disdain and mockery displayed by Kilmeade.<\/p>\n<p>But\u2063 the contempt and\u2062 dismissiveness exhibited by Kilmeade\u2063 and \u200bothers in the Establishment only serve \u2062to energize and unite \u200cthe America\u2064 First movement. \u2063It\u2064 reinforces their belief that they are fighting against a\u2064 corrupt\u200d and self-serving system. \u2064It motivates them to continue pushing for real change and\u2064 to stand firm in their convictions.<\/p>\n<p>The America First\u2062 movement is not \u200bgoing away. It is a grassroots movement that resonates \u200bwith ordinary Americans who are tired of being ignored and taken for granted.
