\u200dThings could be even grimmer \u200dfor Biden when it\u2064 comes \u200bto his \u2063own party, at least according to a new report from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/politics\/elections\/democrats-still-publicly-back-biden-for-2024-privately-their-fears-are-growing-657de6e2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wall Street Journal<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The\u2062 Journal reports that Democrats, while keeping private about said consternation, \u200dare growing increasingly worried.<\/p>\n<p>However \u201cthey are resigned to the idea that [Biden] isn\u2019t going\u2064 anywhere, and there is \u200cno viable \u2062Plan B.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Journal\u2062 cited a number\u2063 of key \u200bextenuating factors working against Biden \u2014 and some of the issues \u2064won\u2019t be so easily addressed.<\/p>\n<p>While \u2062certain American maladies, \u200blike the economy, inflation \u200band immigration, could ostensibly\u2064 be \u200dfixed with \u2064some better\u200b policymaking, Biden is \u200bgrappling with a number of issues that will\u2064 only \u200dget worse with the passage of time.<\/p>\n<p>Issues like\u2062 Biden\u2019s age, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/biden-lashes-people-begin-doubting-covid-shots\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">temperament<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-biden-falls-multiple-times-going-stairs-air-force-one\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">general\u200d incompetence<\/a> are not so easily fixable, and Democrats \u2063are privately taking notice.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cConversations with more \u200cthan a dozen leading Democrats revealed the pervasive, but mostly private, \u2063sense of worry that \u2062hangs over the race,\u201d the \u2064WSJ noted. \u201cSome compare this moment\u200b to the 2016 \u2064cycle\u200d when many top Democrats \u2063brushed \u2062aside Hillary \u2063Clinton\u2019s vulnerabilities only to watch her ultimately lose to Trump.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut\u200d this is in many ways\u200d a different case\u200c \u2014 a \u200c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/dnc-members-privately-doubting-joe-biden-no-evidence-as-to-why-we-should-be-hopeful\/\" title=\"DNC members privately skeptical of Joe Biden: No 'convincing reasons for optimism'.\">sitting president \u200bfacing clear frustration<\/a> from voters, including those within\u200b his own\u200d party.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is a little\u2064 bit like your grandfather running the company and you \u200bknow that he\u2019s at a point now where the heirs could suffer value if we don\u2019t \u2062change management at the top,\u201d\u200d Philip Levine, a former Democratic \u2062mayor from Florida,\u200d told the Journal.<\/p>\n<p>Levine added: \u201cAnd this is\u200c very \u200ddifficult. How do\u2063 we get grandpa to relinquish the CEO role?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>One unnamed Democratic National Committee member told the Journal: \u201cIt would be irresponsible for us to \u2064not\u200d be concerned at this point. People can \u2062be \u2063hopeful about\u2064 what the result is\u2062 going to be. But\u200b we don\u2019t have any evidence\u200c as \u200bto\u200b why we should be\u2063 hopeful.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe polling is bad. The approval \u200cratings are bad.
