Payments from CCP-Linked Energy Firm<\/h2>\n
Chinese \u200cenergy company CEFC, a state-backed\u2063 firm that is<\/a> \u201ceffectively an\u2062 arm of\u2063 the \u2064Chinese Government,\u201d paid the Biden \u2062family and their \u200dassociates millions \u2014 presumably for \u201caccess\u201d to Joe Biden \u2014\u200c funneling the cash through Robinson Walker LLC, an\u2062 account run by Biden family associate Rob Walker. After receiving a $3 million payout from\u2064 CEFC, Robinson Walker LLC wired<\/a> \u2064two $50,000 payments \u200cto an account belonging to James Biden on April 3, 2017, another $120,000 on April \u200d20, $125,000 on April 24, and $15,000\u2062 on May 18, bringing\u200c James\u200b Biden\u2019s \u2062 total<\/a> receipt from CEFC in that exchange\u200b to $360,000.<\/p>\n
Later, James also\u200d received money via his consulting\u2063 firm, Lion Hall Group. \u201cBetween Aug. 14, 2017 and Aug.\u200b 3, 2018, [Hunter Biden\u2019s company] Owasco sent 20\u2063 wires totaling $1,398,999 to\u200c the \u200dLion Hall Group, a consulting firm that lists James Biden and his wife, Sara Biden, on \u2063the bank account,\u201d Sens. Ron Johnson and Chuck Grassley reported<\/a> in 2020. The transfers started days after CEFC wired millions to Hudson West III, a joint venture<\/a> between Hunter Biden and CEFC Chairman Ye \u2063Jianming, which began sending money to Owasco. After the transaction \u200dinto the Lion Hall Group account was\u2062 flagged\u2064 \u201cfor potential criminal financial activity,\u201d\u2063 the bank \u201csubmitted the account for closure.\u201d <\/p>\n
In August 2017, around the time those payments started, James Biden was made<\/a> a manager at Hudson West \u200dIII, to be paid $65,000 a month.<\/p>\n

On top of that, James, his wife Sara, and \u2062Hunter went on a $101,291\u2064 spending spree with credit cards opened by Hunter and Kevin Dong, who<\/a> \u201cserved as\u2062 \u2018Chairman Ye[\u2019s] CEFC emissary\u2019 in the United States.\u201d The three Bidens purchased<\/a> \u201cextravagant items, including\u200d airline tickets and multiple items at Apple Inc. stores, pharmacies, hotels and restaurants.\u201d<\/p>\n
Two years later, The Washington Post confirmed Johnson and Grassley\u2019s discoveries,\u200b admitting<\/a> \u201cthe Chinese energy \u200bconglomerate and its executives paid $4.8 million to entities controlled \u2062by Hunter Biden and his uncle.\u201d<\/p>\n
On Thursday, House investigators subpoenaed<\/a> bank records for both Hunter and James Biden after additional records revealed \u201cthe Bidens and their \u2063associates have received over $20 million in payments from foreign entities.\u201d<\/p>\n

Documents \u200breleased \u200cby the House Ways and Means Committee last week\u2064 show dozens \u200dof WhatsApp\u2064 communications involving James\u2064 Biden,\u200b including direct communications between Hunter and James, \u2063as well as group messages between \u2063Hunter, James, and associates like Tony Bobulinski, Rob Walker, and James Gilliar, \u200band group messages between \u200cHunter,\u200d James, Kevin Dong, and Mervyn Yan, whom IRS investigators described<\/a> as one of the\u200d \u201cU.S. managers for CEFC related to the Hudson\u200c West entities\u201d along with Dong.<\/p>\n
On Aug. 27, 2017, Hunter\u2064 Biden discussed<\/a> a luncheon with Kevin Dong, telling him that James would be bringing Joe Biden along for an appearance. \u201cMy \u2064uncle will be here with his BROTHER \u2064who would like to say hello to the Chairman,\u201d Hunter wrote.<\/p>\n
On Sept. 27, 2017, James\u2064 Biden \u2062 messaged<\/a> Hunter, Yan, and Dong that a \u200dmeeting between \u2064them was \u201cset\u201d at \u201cThe Carlyle Hotel Madison \u2064Ave at 76th.\u201d \u201cWe will\u200d meet you\u200c in the room, I\u2019m here \u200b\u2026 Hunter \u2062will be arriving shortly,\u201d James wrote. The following day, he sent details for a \u2063meeting\u200b at a Ritz Carlton in\u2062 Atlanta to the same group. <\/p>\n
In an interview with IRS investigators,\u200c James Biden admitted<\/a> to\u2062 attending a luncheon in Romania with\u2063 Hunter, Walker, and Gilliar \u2014 a luncheon which James \u201cunderstood \u2026 to be a side deal.\u201d<\/p>\n
He also told the IRS he had met with Chairman Ye Jianming of CEFC \u201conce,\u201d along with \u201cthe Director\u201d\u2063 (presumably \u2064CEFC Director \u2064Bo Zhang), in\u200c New York City\u200b at Hunter Biden\u2019s request. James even showed Ye\u2019s wife around the city, taking her to private schools where she might enroll\u2063 her children, he told investigators.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, when \u2062Patrick Ho \u2014 whom Hunter had described<\/a> as the \u201cspy chief of China\u201d \u2014 was arrested<\/a> by the DOJ for \u201chis role in a \u2064multi-year, multimillion-dollar scheme to bribe \u2064top officials of Chad and Uganda in \u2062exchange for business advantages for CEFC,\u201d James Biden was his first call. In \u2063October 2020, \u2064the New York Post published a May 2017 email<\/a> that was\u2063 sent to Hunter Biden discussing \u201cremuneration\u2064 packages\u201d that included \u2063a provision of \u201c10 held by \u2064H for the big guy?\u201d \u2014 whom involved parties \u200bhave confirmed<\/a> is\u2062 Joe\u2062 Biden.<\/p>\n
The email described a \u201cprovisional\u2064 agreement\u201d splitting up \u201cequity\u201d in an unnamed venture, with numbers indicating percentages. Twenty percent each would go to\u200d people identified as H,\u2064 RW, JG, and TB \u200b\u2014 abbreviations that correspond, the Post noted, to the names in the email thread: Hunter, Rob Walker, James Gilliar, and Tony\u2062 Bobulinski. In addition \u200bto the \u201c10\u200d held by Hunter for\u2064 the big guy,\u201d another 10 \u2063would go to \u201cJim,\u201d which almost certainly referred to James\u200c Biden.<\/p>\n
