(John Fredricks\/The \u2063Epoch Times)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>Temperatures for\u200c Southern California coasts and inland\u200c areas will range from the 80s to \u206390 degrees. The valleys and\u200c deserts \u2062will be 85 \u200cto 100 degrees, with cooler temperatures along the Central Coast in the upper 70s to\u2063 low 80s.<\/p>\n<p>In and around Los Angeles County, forecasters are expecting temperatures to be five to 10 degrees higher than average for this time of year, reaching 10 to 15 degrees above averages in Los Angeles and Ventura counties Thursday and Friday, according to NOAA Meteorologist Rich Thompson in Oxnard.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt will be warmest for the \u200bcoast on Thursday and warmest \u2063in the valley\u2063 on\u2064 Friday,\u201d Mr. Thompson told The Epoch Times.<\/p>\n<p>Temperatures should reach the mid-80s\u200b to mid-90s along the coast of Los Angeles \u200dand Ventura counties, and the mid to upper 90s in the\u200c valleys on Thursday, he added.<\/p>\n<p>On Friday, \u200dthe \u2064coast should cool slightly\u200b to the 80s or \u200clower 90s, with the valley cities reaching\u200b the\u2063 mid-90s to around 100 degrees, Mr. Thompson \u200cadded.<\/p>\n<p>San Francisco Bay Area residents should also see temperatures increase later \u2064in the week, peaking Thursday through Saturday, according to NOAA Meteorologist Dalton Behringer.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBy Thursday, most of the Bay Area will be in the \u2063mid- to upper-80s and low-90s,\u201d \u200bMr. Behringer told The Epoch Times. \u201cAnd it really peaks Friday,\u2063 when we\u2019ll see more\u2062 widespread upper-80s and low-90s, with Saturday getting just a bit cooler.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The temperatures in the Bay Area will be\u200b 10 to 15 degrees above average for the first week of\u200c October, but\u2064 it\u2019s not unusual for \u2064the\u200d state to get this \u200ctype \u2063of heat spike, Mr. \u2063Behringer said.<\/p>\n<p>By the beginning of next week, though, temperatures across the state will again dip \u2063below average.
