Our team has always been focused on making the best \u200dbeer, and most importantly, having \u2063fun,\u201d<\/em> Chris Cox, who still manages the company, said in the release.<\/p>\n<p>Most Americans \u200dwho follow\u2064 the news can think\u2063 of a few \u2063good \u2062reasons \u200ba company might not want to associate \u200ditself with Bud Light lately, after the nation\u2019s once-most-popular beer brought itself into\u200c disgrace\u200b with \u200ca\u200b <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/sting-strikes-back-declares-days-of-entertaining-russian-oligarchs-are-over\/\" title=\"Sting Strikes Back: Declares Days of Entertaining Russian Oligarchs 'Are Over'\">woefully misguided decision<\/a> to partner with social media \u2064influencer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/dylan-mulvaney-demands-public-proud-support-transgenders-attacks-extreme-transphobia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dylan\u2062 Mulvaney<\/a> \u2014 a\u2062 grown man who <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/brewing-company-celebrates-no-longer-being-owned-by-anheuser-busch\/\" title=\"Brewing Company rejoices in independence from Anheuser-Busch.\">apparently enjoys playing dress-<\/a>up as \u200ca woman.<\/p>\n<p>Possibly even\u200c worse than the \u2064Mulvaney move,\u2062 though, were the comments by an\u200d Anheuser-Busch\u200c now-former vice president who disparaged the company\u2019s previously loyal\u2062 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/viral-video-bud-light-exec-reveals-woke-company-feels-past-customers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bud Light customer base<\/a> as basically being too low for Bud\u2064 Light\u2019s enlightened executives.<\/p>\n<p>Taken together, they amounted to an in-your-face insult to the kinds of conservative Americans \u2064who made Bud\u200b Light number one in the country, and they sparked \u200ca boycott that\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/bud-light-parent-company-reports-plunge-us-revenue-2nd-quarter-uses-china-offset\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cost Anheuser-Busch badly<\/a> over the past six months, is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/final-nail-coffin-bud-light-get-snubbed-retailers-competitors-profits-soar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">going to keep hurting<\/a> the Bud Light \u200dbrand at the \u2062retail level\u200d for the next year,\u00a0 and is\u2062 likely to\u2062 be remembered by advertising and \u200bmarketing experts for decades to come.<\/p>\n<p>But the\u200b staff\u200c at 10 Barrel Brewing had another reason entirely to celebrate.<\/p>\n<p>With the 10 Barrel \u2063Brewing no longer\u2063 being\u2063 by Anheuser-Busch, the company \u2063can\u200c rejoin the ranks \u2064of \u200d\u201ccraft and independent\u201d breweries, which makes the company eligible for \u201cbenefits and recognition,\u201d according to New School Beer.<\/p>\n<p>It also makes 10 Barrel Brewing eligible to join local trade associations, such as the Oregon Brewers Guild.<\/p>\n<p>In short,\u2062 there are plenty of reasons a company that started as an independent craft brewery might want to get \u200bout \u2063of a corporate \u200dmonolith with a currently tainted\u2063 reputation like Anheuser-Busch.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s\u2063 true even if the new ownership company is also \u2064a corporate giant.\u200d Besides 10 Barrel Brewing, Tilray purchased five \u200dother Anheuser-Busch beer\u2063 brands, \u2062one cider brand and one energy\u2062 drink brand, according to a Tilray <a href=\"https:\/\/tilray.gcs-web.com\/news-releases\/news-release-details\/tilray-brands-closes-transaction-acquiring-eight-beer-beverage\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news release<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Tilray was already\u200b a fair-sized beverage\u200b company even before buying the \u2063Anheuser-Busch\u200d brands, as its news release makes clear, on top\u200b of its status as the largest cannabis company in the world.<\/p>\n<p>So, 10 Barrel Brewing might not \u200cbe \u2064returning to its roots as a truly\u200b independent beer maker, but at least it\u2019s shedding \u2063its relationship with\u2064 Anheuser-Busch\u2019s tarnished reputation.<\/p>\n<p>Whatever their reasons\u200c were, it\u2019s \u200dclear\u2062 as day that \u2063those 10 Barrel employees were up\u2063 for a celebration \u2014 \u2064and celebrating saying goodbye to Anheuser-Busch.<\/p>\n<p>Millions of American beer drinkers, disgusted <a
