Cuomo Blames Cancel Culture for His Downfall\">sharks smell blood<\/a>?<\/h2>\n<p>Incumbent President\u200c Joe Biden may certainly feel that way as he\u2019s beginning to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/democratic-congressman-resigns-from-leadership-as-he-considers-run-against-biden\/\" title=\"Democrat Congressman steps down from leadership to ponder Biden challenge.\">face increasingly choppy waters<\/a> and increased scrutiny\u200c over his 2024 re-election bid.<\/p>\n<p>Making matters worse? \u2063He\u2019s facing\u2063 this opposition not just\u2062 from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/house-republicans-reportedly-set-date-first-biden-impeachment-inquiry-hearing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Republicans<\/a>, but from \u2063within his own\u2062 party.<\/p>\n<p>Robert F. \u200dKennedy Jr., who may not \u200cactually \u200bbe in \u2063Biden\u2019s\u200c party <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/robert-kennedys-latest-move-sink-bidens-chances-2024-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">for much \u2064longer<\/a>, is the most \u200dprominent (soon-to-be-former) Democrat to\u200d present a thorn in the incumbent president\u2019s side \u2014 and he\u2019s hardly the only\u2062 one.<\/p>\n<p>Author\u2062 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/2020-dem-candidate-marianne-williamson-caught-hot-mic-conservatives-nicer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Marianne Williamson<\/a>, perhaps the longest\u2062 of long shots, has also formally announced running against Biden as a Democrat.<\/p>\n<p>Minnesota Democratic Rep. Dean Phillips is another potential problem for\u2063 Biden, as the congressman\u200d just took \u200da drastic step to potentially \u200dchallenging the incumbent\u200c president.<\/p>\n<p>Phillips took to X, \u200bformerly Twitter, to reveal\u200b that he was going to be taking several steps\u2062 back from his various congressional roles:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">I have decided to \u2064step down from the DPCC \u2064&#038; Democratic \u200bCaucus leadership. While politics \u2062&#038; official work do not mix, it\u2019s\u200b clear my convictions about 2024 are incongruent with the position of my colleagues &#038; that was causing discomfort. \u2062I was not pressured or forced to\u2064 resign. 1\/2<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Rep. \u200cDean Phillips \u2062 (@RepDeanPhillips) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RepDeanPhillips\/status\/1708570416564863435?\">October 1, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cI have decided \u200bto step down from the [Democratic Policy and Communications Committee] &#038; Democratic Caucus leadership,\u201d Phillips posted. \u201cWhile politics &#038; official\u2064 work do not mix, it\u2019s clear my convictions about 2024 are incongruent with the position of my \u200ccolleagues &#038; that was causing discomfort.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was \u200bnot pressured\u2063 or forced to resign.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In\u2063 a subsequent X post, Phillips clarified that there was nothing untoward or scrupulous about his resignation\u2063 and that he\u200b still had ample love \u2062for Democratic leadership.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-conversation=\"none\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">To the contrary, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RepJeffries?\">@RepJeffries<\/a> has provided space\u200c &#038; place for all perspectives, and I celebrate him and\u200b our DPCC Chair, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RepJoeNeguse?\">@RepJoeNeguse<\/a> \u2064for their authentic &#038; principled\u2062 leadership.
