(Courtesy of \u200dCaesar Ocular)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cWhen he arrived on\u2064 our campus, it was like, \u2018All \u2064right, we have a really\u2062 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/bidens-football-fib-roger-staubach-blocked-his-path-at-navy\/\" title=\"Biden\u2019s Football Fib: Roger Staubach Blocked His Path At Navy\">good wide receiver<\/a>,\u2019\u201d Mr. \u2062Lopez said. \u201cWe have to find ways to get him the ball.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Alleyne, who has scored 15 touchdowns this season, isn\u2019t the least bit picky about whether he\u2019s asked to return kicks, carry the ball, or haul it in via the air.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2064 doesn\u2019t \u200bmatter to me, as \u2064long as I can get \u200cit to the end zone,\u201d\u200b Alleyne told The Epoch Times.<\/p>\n<p>Guzman, meanwhile, caught five passes for 123 yards, including two touchdowns, in his \u2063Tustin\u2062 debut after gaining eligibility \u2064following \u2062a transfer from \u200bKatella. With senior Larry Allen providing another dangerous receiving threat, the 6-3, 185-pound Guzman adds \u200da totally different dimension.<\/p>\n<div class=\"post-figure\">\n<figure style=\"width:277px\" class=\"alignleft\"><figcaption>Junior running \u200cback Eimesse Essis from Tustin High School in Orange County, \u2064California. (Courtesy of Caesar Ocular)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>Though \u200bhe had only 49 yards\u200b rushing on seven\u200d carries against Kennedy, Essis is averaging nearly 158\u2062 yards per game on \u2063the ground. And despite the picture-perfect throw\u200c to Alleyne for a touchdown, the 5-8, 165-pound Essis \u2064knows full\u2062 well where his biggest football\u2064 strength\u200c lies.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRunning it,\u201d he told The Epoch Times.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Lopez, line coach Sam Baker, \u200b\u201cthe brains behind the whole offensive operation,\u201d and\u2062 senior quarterback Jack Stupin clearly have an enviable array of \u200cweapons from which to choose.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf [opposing] teams want to \u200dput a bunch\u200d of guys in the box, then \u2063we have to \u2062get the ball to \u200cthe edges and\u2064 let our skill\u200c guys do their thing,\u201d \u200bMr. Lopez said. \u201cWhen they spread out, \u2064then we hand the ball off to Eimesse, and he does his thing up the middle.\u200d Jack does a great job of \u200dknowing where to go with the ball, and when. He\u2019s kind of the main guy of the operation, obviously, as all quarterbacks are. He\u2019s been tremendous for us in terms of leadership \u2064and accountability.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>So many attractive options and just one football to go around could create issues, but the Tillers\u200d seem to have struck a nice balance there,\u2062 as well.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe coaching staff put a lot\u200d of plays\u2064 together for each player, and we have trust in our quarterback, Jack,\u201d Alleyne \u200dsaid. \u201cHe knows where to put the \u200dball up for each receiver \u2063and where \u200dwe can make plays.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"post-figure\">\n<figure style=\"width:528px\" class=\"alignnone\"><figcaption>Senior quarterback Jack Stupin (C)\u2063 from\u2064 Tustin High School in Orange County, California. Despite being short on support behind them, seniors Jeremy Agwanda and Alex \u200cParada, juniors Alex Peterson and\u200d 6-1, 309-pound Manu Segovia, and\u2063 sophomore Gabriel Minchaca have\u2064 meshed nicely.<\/p>\n<p>The story is remarkably similar on defense, where coordinator James Tindukasiri also has some shiny new toys. Guzman, who played both ways against Kennedy, also intercepted a pass to set up a touchdown. (Courtesy of Caesar \u2063Ocular)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cOur pass coverage got a lot better \u200cwith Marques and Will Leapart out there,\u201d Mr. Lopez said.<\/p>\n<p>Freshman Taven Epps also came up with an interception against Kennedy, while 6-2, 300-pound senior defensive tackle Annas Davis rumbled some 65 yards with a \u2063fumble recovery for \u2064a touchdown.<\/p>\n<p>Seniors Alex Hage, Jairo Vasquez, and A.J. Diaz, along with junior Josiah Adams, join Davis in \u200da formidable defensive-line rotation.<\/p>\n<p>Longtime former Tustin coach Myron Miller, who serves as \u200dan \u201canalyst,\u201d special-teams coordinator\u200d Rob Marquez, \u200band assistant coach Chris\u200b Hawkins, meanwhile, \u2063surround Mr. Lopez on an outstanding coaching staff.<\/p>\n<p>With games \u2062against Crean\u200c Lutheran and Pacifica to follow Valencia on the schedule before a regular\u200c season-ending matchup against\u200b defending\u2064 Empire League\u200d champion Cypress, the Tillers\u200d are attempting \u2064to take matters one step at a\u2064 time.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNot to \u2062look ahead, but like I\u2019ve said before, they\u2019re the Empire League champions until they\u2019re not,\u201d Mr. Lopez said. \u201cIf we want to win the \u2063Empire League, we have to beat Cypress. \u200dBut I really\u200b love \u200cour team this year. \u200dI think they\u2019re going to compete no matter who\u2019s across from them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p> <\/p>\n<h2> \u200b How has the undersized\u2063 line of the Tustin High School football\u200b team been able to provide \u2062ample protection for Stupin and create openings for the\u200d running game, despite being compared to some larger opponents?<\/h2>\n<p><span>  Ing undersized \u2064compared to some of their opponents,\u200b the line has proven to\u2064 be formidable and has provided ample protection for Stupin, as well as created openings for the running game.<\/p>\n<p>The team&#8217;s defense has also been a force to be reckoned with, allowing an average of only 8 points \u200cper\u2064 game. \u2062Led by senior lineman Antonio Zazueta and junior linebacker Owen Hale, the defense has \u2064consistently shut down opposing offenses and provided crucial turnovers.<\/p>\n<p>The\u2063 undefeated\u200b Tustin High School football \u2063team appears to be firing on all cylinders as they \u200dapproach their Empire League\u200c showdown against Valencia. With a\u200d balanced and \u2062talented \u2063roster, the Tillers have the tools\u2062 necessary to continue their winning streak. \u2063However, Coach Lopez \u200band his\u2063 team\u2062 know that complacency is\u2064 their biggest \u200bthreat.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have \u2063to \u200dstay focused and take it one game at a\u2064 time,\u201d Lopez said. \u201cEveryone is \u200dgunning for us now,\u2062 and \u2062we can&#8217;t afford to let our\u2064 guard down.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As the season progresses, Tustin High School will\u200c face tougher challenges, but \u2063they \u2064remain confident in their abilities and the unity of \u2062their\u200d team.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have a lot of talent, but what sets us\u2063 apart is our chemistry and trust\u200b in \u2063each other,\u201d Stupin added.<\/p>\n<p>The Tustin High School football team \u200dcontinues to \u2062strive \u2063for excellence, constantly\u200b pushing \u2064themselves to improve and achieve their \u200bultimate goal of a league championship.
