Jamaal Bowman<\/a> of New York was apparently so eager \u2064to cause a shutdown that he actually committed a \u200ccriminal offense.<\/p>\n<p>Cameras caught\u200b the congressman \u2063pulling a fire \u200calarm in the\u200d Cannon Building of \u2062the Capitol \u2063complex on Saturday morning just\u2062 before the House stopgap vote took\u2063 place, according to<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2023\/09\/30\/politics\/jamaal-bowman-pulls-fire-alarm\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> \u200d CNN<\/a>.
