Only 41 percent of adults, according\u200b to the survey, approve of \u200dhow the Supreme Court is handling its job. This\u200d approval rating\u200b is just slightly above the previous record low of 40 percent.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><em>&#8220;Just 41 percent of adults in\u200d <a href=\"https:\/\/news.gallup.com\/poll\/511820\/views-supreme-court-remain-near-record-lows.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a Gallup survey<\/a> said they approve of how the Supreme Court is handling its job.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In July 2020, 58 percent of respondents approved of the Supreme Court&#8217;s job, but this approval sharply dropped in \u200d2021.\u200b Since September 2021, \u200dit has not gone above 43 percent.<\/p>\n<p>The survey \u200cwas conducted over the telephone\u200c from \u200cSeptember 1 to September 23, with a random sample \u200cof 1,016 adults surveyed. The margin of sampling error was plus\/minus four percent.<\/p>\n<p>Democrats \u2064were the most \u200clikely to disapprove, \u200dwith 75 \u200dpercent of Democrat respondents expressing their disapproval. \u200cThis \u200dis compared to \u206259 percent\u2064 of independents and 42 percent of Republicans who disapprove.<\/p>\n<p>When asked \u2064about their \u2064trust in the Judicial Branch, which\u2062 is \u200bheaded by \u2062the Supreme\u200b Court,\u2062 about half\u2063 of the respondents said they trusted the court at least \u2063a fair amount. The other half said\u2063 they trusted \u200dit not very much or not \u200cat all. \u200dThis is a slight increase from the previous survey&#8217;s 47 percent.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding the ideological balance \u2062of the current Supreme Court, \u200b42 percent of\u200b respondents believe it is\u2062 just about\u2062 right, while 39 percent think it is too conservative, and 17 percent believe\u2062 it \u2063is too\u200d liberal. The\u200c percentage describing it as too conservative is a record high.<\/p>\n<p>It is worth noting that the court is currently composed of six justices appointed\u2063 by Republican presidents, including three appointed under\u2062 former President Donald Trump.<\/p>\n<p>The Supreme Court&#8217;s decisions often draw\u200b both criticism and praise, as\u200b they have the potential to impact\u2063 millions of Americans.\u2064 One of \u200cits most significant recent decisions was the ruling\u2062 that struck\u2063 down Roe v.
