Andrew Clyde (R-Ga.) that would strip the <a href=\"https:\/\/weingarten.substack.com\/p\/full-testimony-dhs-and-cisas-pivotal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Cybersecurity\u200d and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA)<\/a> of 25 percent of its funding. CISA, a subsidiary of \u200bthe\u200c Department of Homeland Security, has made a\u200b habit \u200cof\u2063 <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/06\/02\/dhs-cybersecurity-agency-labels-your-private-thoughts-critical-infrastructure-to-justify-censoring-you\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">censoring<\/a> the American public \u200cand interfering in our elections by policing speech. <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/06\/27\/biden-admin-grew-censorship-complex-to-silence-true-but-inconvenient-malinformation-weaponization-committee-shows\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">According<\/a> to\u200c federal\u200b lawmakers, CISA is \u200cthe\u2064 \u201cnerve center\u201d of federal government censorship.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">CISA Mind Control<\/h2>\n<p>In true Orwellian fashion, CISA \u200dofficials use \u200billegal powers to suppress \u2062information that they <em>know<\/em> to be true in order to preserve official government narratives\u2063 and control the minds of \u200bthe American public.<\/p>\n<p>In addition \u2062to addressing mis- and disinformation, CISA directs the censorship of \u201cmalinformation,\u201d defined by the \u2064agency as information \u201cbased on fact, but used out of context to mislead,\u2064 harm, or manipulate.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn other words, malinformation is <em>factual<\/em> \u200c information that is objectionable not because \u200dit is false or untruthful, but because it is provided\u2062 without adequate \u2018context\u2019 \u200b\u2014 context as\u2062 determined by the \u200bgovernment,\u201d\u2063 <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/06\/27\/biden-admin-grew-censorship-complex-to-silence-true-but-inconvenient-malinformation-weaponization-committee-shows\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">explained<\/a> lawmakers on the House\u2063 Select Subcommittee on the \u200dWeaponization\u200c of the Federal Government.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Meeting With Tech Giants<\/h2>\n<p><em>Missouri v.\u200b Biden \u2062 <\/em>revealed that ahead of the 2020 election, \u2063CISA agents facilitated \u200cmeetings between Big Tech companies, and national security and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/oregon-governor-encourages-people-to-call-police-on-neighbors-violating-covid-orders\/\" title=\"Oregon Governor Encourages People To Call Police On Neighbors Violating COVID Orders\">law enforcement agencies<\/a> to \u2063address \u201cmis-, dis-, and mal-information\u201d on\u2063 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/the-new-acting-attorney-general-jeff-rosen-recently-wrote-an-essay-on-foreign-influence-in-us-elections-this-tells-us-a-little-about-his-knowledge-of-whats-going-on-today\/\" title=\"The New Acting Attorney General Jeff Rosen Recently Wrote an Essay on Foreign Influence in US Elections \u2013 This Tells Us A Little About His Knowledge of What\u2019s Going On Today\">social media platforms<\/a>.\u2064 As the election\u2062 drew \u2063closer, CISA increased the frequency \u2063of these \u2062meetings.<\/p>\n<p>During the\u200c meetings, CISA warned tech companies of potential foreign \u201chack-and-leak\u201d operations that would threaten the integrity of the 2020\u200b election. The valid Hunter Biden laptop story was \u2063subsequently censored because \u2063it \u200dwas \u2064falsely portrayed as a \u201chack-and-leak\u201d operation.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Directing \u2063Censorship<\/h2>\n<p>CISA, along with other \u2062government agencies, engaged in \u201cswitchboarding,\u201d \u2063the \u200dprocess of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/these-house-republicans-voted-to-fund-cisas-criminal-censorship-and-election-interference\/\" title=\"House Republicans supported funding for CISA's criminal censorship and election interference.\">directly forwarding offending social media posts<\/a> to tech companies for them to censor.<\/p>\n<p>Many of these\u200b posts included tweets that called into \u2064question the integrity of the 2020\u2064 election. CISA particularly targeted citizens who criticized\u200d mass mail-in\u2063 balloting for\u200b not \u200cbeing secure and for being disproportionately implemented\u200c to favor Democrats \u200c\u2014 two things that are <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2020\/11\/11\/democrats-know-mail-in-voting-means-mass-fraud-and-pushed-it-anyway\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">indisputably<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2021\/05\/11\/mollie-hemingway-is-writing-the-2020-election-book-the-media-dont-want-you-to-read\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">true<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Outsourcing Censorship<\/h2>\n<p>CISA collaborates with nongovernmental censorship organizations to outsource \u200cits speech \u2063policing and circumvent the First Amendment.<\/p>\n<p>For example, the Election Integrity Partnership (EIP), a private \u201canti-disinformation\u201d\u2062 organization, \u201cwas conceived by \u200dand \u2063created in consultation with CISA officials in the run-up to the 2020 election,\u201d explained Weingarten. EIP\u2019s goal was to fill the \u2062\u201ccritical\u2064 gap\u201d created by the Constitution\u2019s\u200d limits on government \u2062agencies censoring \u201celection misinformation originating from domestic sources\u200c within the United States.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat lack of \u2018authority\u2019 \u2063may\u200b have included both\u2063 an \u2062inability for\u200b government agencies, to access social media platform data\u2063 \u2013 \u2064as \u2062EIP did \u2013 as \u2063well as\u200b \u2018very real First Amendment questions,\u2019\u201d Weingarten noted.<\/p>\n<p>EIP lobbied tech companies \u2062to establish\u2063 more oppressive content moderation policies. It flagged\u2062 offending content and even \u201centire narratives\u201d the organization deemed\u200b harmful. Ultimately,\u200b EIP was created to suppress \u201cspeech dubious of an unprecedented \u200belection given the sweeping, pandemic-driven changes made to the voting \u2063system\u2064 that cycle,\u2062 whereby the razor-thin final results in key states did not\u2064 materialize for\u200d days,\u201d Weingarten \u2063concluded.<\/p>\n<p>EIP also has several partner organizations, one of which is\u2063 Graphika,\u2064 a Manhattan-based tech firm revealed by a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mintpressnews.com\/graphika-deep-states-beard-controlling-information-age\/279520\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Mint Press investigative report<\/a> to have \u201cbeen at the forefront\u200b of the establishment \u200battack on alternative media.\u201d Graphika has \u200bproduced reports labeling outlets that are \u200dcritical \u2064of the federal \u200bgovernment as Russian, Chinese, or Iranian influence operations on American social\u200c media.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">CISA Must \u2064Be Defunded<\/h2>\n<p>CISA \u2062is an \u200daffront to\u2064 the Constitution. It is a criminal organization that, along with the entire post-9\/11 censorship apparatus, has no right to exist\u2062 in the United States of America.\u2064 Reducing CISA\u2019s budget by 25 percent is the <em>least<\/em> Republican members of Congress can do to address this wildly abusive and unconstitutional agency.<\/p>\n<p>Even for selfish reasons, Republicans \u2063should be motivated \u2064to eradicate CISA.\u2063 The agency interfered in the 2020 election to \u200bhurt Republicans and its \u2063censorship\u2062 operations post-2020 are \u2063inhibiting\u200c efforts to fix the \u200cproblems \u2063that plagued the last election cycle. This means that so\u2063 long as CISA is in operation, the integrity of the 2024 election \u2063is in grave jeopardy.<\/p>\n<p>Perhaps, however, like\u200b CISA\u200b and its supporters\u200b in the Democrat Party, Republican members of Congress do not think that the American people can discern for themselves what is and is not\u2063 true. This demonstrates a blatant violation of the First Amendment rights of American citizens.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Republicans Take a Stand<\/h2>\n<p>Despite the \u200bdisturbing revelations about \u2064CISA&#8217;s censorship practices, 109 Republicans boldly voted against defunding \u200bthe agency.
