It\u2019s natural, occurring in all species. Most animals will fight to the death to protect their offspring. And many animals\u2064 bind together to protect the youngest in\u2064 the group.<\/p>\n<p>But\u2062 the madness of \u200cwokeness\u200d is eroding our basic\u2063 God-given \u200cinstincts and replacing them with a warped sense of compassion \u2014 for evil.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this year, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/hundreds-worst-worst-sex-offenders-released-taxpayer-funded-homes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Washington state<\/a> \u200denacted a law that \u2062would release Level-3 sex offenders from McNeil Island\u200d into local communities. These \u2064offenders included convicted <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/author-sound-freedom-hit-piece-exposed-lgbt-activist-fretted-stigmatizing-pedophiles\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pedophiles<\/a> likely to re-offend and \u200dwere called\u200c the \u201cworst of the \u200bworst,\u201d according to <a href=\"https:\/\/thepostmillennial.com\/wa-democrats-releasing-worst-of-the-worst-inmates-from-sex-offender-prison-island\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Post Millenial. <\/a><\/p>\n<p>That \u2063<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/pelosi-house-mask-mandate-could-remain-until-all-lawmakers-get-inoculated\/\" title=\"Pelosi: House Mask Mandate Could Remain Until All Lawmakers Get Inoculated\">news outlet reported<\/a>\u200c one of the inmates of McNeil Island,\u2062 Calvin Malone, \u201cworked as a Boy Scout troop leader in various states across the\u200b country, \u2062as \u200bwell as with an organization that works with at-risk youth. public notice\u2026<\/a>the rest of the country\u2026all imitated \u2062WA\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf they can start to roll it back in WA\u2026 they can start to roll it back everywhere else\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/D222Bxc178\">pic.twitter.com\/D222Bxc178<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Ari Hoffman (@thehoffather) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/thehoffather\/status\/1707276426834243788?\">September 28, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Now, based on the same\u200b 2021 law,\u2063 the State Sex Offender Policy Board is considering\u2063 recommendations for the Legislature that might make it illegal even to notify communities when a sex \u2064offender is placed in the area, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecentersquare.com\/washington\/article_46e927d8-5e3b-11ee-a853-6f76f76bbeab.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Center Square<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/sgc.wa.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/public\/SOPB\/meetings\/2023\/Review_and_Summary_of_Model_Penal_Code_Recommendations_Handout_09212023.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">new draft<\/a> examining post-conviction policies states,\u2064 \u201cEven accounting for low rates of reporting for sexual offenses, those convicted of a sex offense\u200c have some of the lowest recidivism rates compared to individuals convicted of a non-sex offense.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is also true for individuals convicted of sex offenses against children,\u201d the draft \u200dcontinues.<\/p>\n<p>The draft also states that,\u200b while sex offenses are \u2062\u201cdistinctively unsettling and injurious,\u201d \u201cpunishments like registration, public\u200c access, community notification, and residency restrictions conclusively do not reduce recidivism rates.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Instead, the draft proposes prioritizing reintegration, social support, \u2063stable living conditions and steady employment to deter repeat offenses.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the recommendations \u200bsuggest a\u2062 \u201cstrong presumption\u201d against <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/gps-sends-dad-bridge-family-left-devastated-directions-fail-mention-one-thing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">GPS<\/a> monitoring, residency restrictions and internet\u2063 access limits for convicted sex offenders. Never mind the fact that the draft does not mention what\u200c studies they base their conclusion about recidivism on; the point is \u2062irrelevant. Even if we take it for a fact that sex \u2064predators\u2064 are less likely to re-offend than regular criminals, all \u2064it takes is one previous\u200b offender to attack one child \u2014 or adult. Can the panel truly justify releasing\u200c these criminals into unsuspecting\u200d communities based on a fingers-crossed \u2063belief about recidivism? This decision has raised significant concerns among citizens and rightly so. \u200dThe safety and well-being of our society, especially\u2064 our\u2062 children, should always be\u2062 a paramount concern.<\/p>\n<p>The protective instinct that we have\u200d toward our\u2063 young is a natural and universal phenomenon found in all species. It is an instinct that drives animals to protect their offspring at\u200c all costs. However, the erosion of this instinct \u200bis becoming evident in our human society, particularly with the\u200c rise of \u2064what some refer to as &#8220;wokeness.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Wokeness, as defined by the Cambridge Dictionary, refers to a state of being aware, especially of social problems such as\u200d racism and inequality. While these issues are important \u2063to address, it seems that in our pursuit of justice and equality, we are inadvertently losing touch with\u200d our inherent protective instincts.<\/p>\n<p>The\u2062 legislation in Washington state that allows the\u2063 release of Level-3 sex offenders into local communities is a prime example of this erosion of compassion. These offenders,\u200c who are deemed \u200cthe &#8220;worst\u200c of the worst,&#8221; have a high probability of re-offending and causing\u200c harm to innocent children. Yet, they are being released into communities where they can potentially have access to vulnerable individuals.<\/p>\n<p>Calvin \u2064Malone, one of the inmates from McNeil Island, is a \u2062chilling example of the potential dangers posed by these released\u200b offenders. He \u200chad worked as a Boy Scout troop leader and with an organization that works with at-risk youth, only to abuse and molest numerous boys in those roles.<\/p>\n<p>This law demonstrates a fundamental misunderstanding of human nature and the need for protective\u200c instincts. \u200bIt replaces our natural \u2064inclination to protect \u2064the innocent \u200dwith a misguided sense of compassion for those who have committed evil acts.
