The \u200dborder plans we already talked \u200dabout? We&#8217;ve\u200c got troops down at the border, flying helicopter missions from North Dakota, from San\u2063 Diego to the Gulf Coast, \u200dtrying to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/gov-burgum-gets-his-moment-in-2nd-gop-presidential-debate\/\" title=\"Gov. Burgum shines in 2nd GOP debate\">stop transnational criminal organizations<\/a> from inflicting \u200cthe invasion \u2062and the mass casualties \u200cin our state.\u2063 And on the energy policy we&#8217;re already doing.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Burgum cited other issues he&#8217;d led or fought \u2062the Biden administration on in areas like the\u2063 energy economy\u200b and national security.<\/p>\n<p>To\u2062 his \u200bclaims he wants to shrink the size of government, Mr. Varney said, &#8220;It&#8217;s\u200b been \u2062a century since \u2063any president has done that. Why would you be any different?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Because\u200c we do it, we&#8217;re doing it, we&#8217;ve done \u2063it\u2063 in North\u200d Dakota,&#8221; \u200cMr. Burgum responded. &#8220;When I took office, we shrunk the state budget\u2063 general fund by 27 \u200bpercent, in the first four months I was in office, and all the trains are still running \u200con time.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Why? Because \u200byou had a business leader that was actually there.\u200b Inside\u200d of every government job, there&#8217;s 10 or 20 percent of mind-numbing, soul-sucking work\u2063 that even the state and federal employees don&#8217;t want to do. And you can engineer that work out of the job. That would free up, right\u2063 there, 20 percent of 2 million civilian employees.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;And by the way, we&#8217;ve got 10 million jobs\u200c open.
