The Univision co-host of the Fox \u2063News Republican presidential debate reinforced false leftist narratives Wednesday night when pressing\u2062 Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on his state\u2019s K-12 curriculum. <\/p>\n

Univision\u2019s Ilia Calderon implied DeSantis promoted educational standards that suggested slavery benefitted the victims. The question emanates<\/a> from claims Vice\u2063 President Kamala Harris fabricated this summer.<\/p>\n

\u201cFlorida\u2019s new Black History curriculum \u2064says \u2018slaves developed skills that in \u200dsome instances could be \u200dapplied for their personal benefit,’\u201d Calderon \u200bsaid, ignoring \u2064that the left-wing\u2063 College Board has apparently made nearly identical statements<\/a>. \u200b\u201cYou have said, \u2018Slaves\u2064 developed skills in spite of slavery, \u200bnot because \u2063of\u2062 it.\u2019 \u2062But many are still hurt. For descendants of slaves, \u2062this is personal. What is your \u2063message to them?\u201d<\/p>\n

The Florida\u200b governor attacked the question as a \u201choax\u201d engineered\u200b by the vice president to smear Republicans as racist. <\/p>\n

\u201cFirst of all, \u2063that\u2019s a hoax that was perpetrated by Kamala Harris. We are not\u2062 going to be doing \u2063that,\u201d DeSantis \u2063said. \u201cSecond \u200dof all, that was written by descendants of slaves. These\u2063 are great \u2064black history scholars, so \u200cwe need \u200cto stop playing\u200c these \u2063games.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHere\u2019s the deal,\u201d DeSantis added, \u201cOur country\u2019s education system is in decline because it\u2019s focused on indoctrination, denying parents\u2019 rights. Florida represents\u200c the revival\u2062 of American education.\u201d<\/p>\n
