Jason Smith (R-Mo.), \u2063chairman\u2063 of the panel, this email referred to then-presidential\u200d candidate Joe Biden.\u2062 &#8220;It&#8217;s about a two-tiered system of justice,&#8221; said\u200c Rep. David Kustoff (R-Tenn.), \u2062a former U.S. attorney and committee member.\u200c &#8220;If Joe Biden&#8217;s \u2062name had been Smith or Jones or Johnson, \u200dhe would not have been excluded from this search warrant. But he was. And we \u200cwouldn&#8217;t know that if the whistleblowers had not come forward.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Shapley and\u200b Zeigler were \u200damong\u200b the \u2063IRS, FBI, \u2063and DOJ officials \u200cinvolved in the investigation of \u2063the president&#8217;s\u200b son.<\/p>\n<div class=\"shortcode post-related-videos\">\n<div class=\"lazyload-wrapper\">\n<div class=\"lazyload-placeholder\"><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>However, after going to Congress with\u200c their\u2062 concerns, these officials were removed from \u2062the probe, raising suspicions of retaliation.<\/p>\n<p>The DOJ claims that the decision to remove them was made prior to their disclosure to Congress.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/watchdog-group-reveals-fauci-and-nih-scientists-personally-collecting-royalty-payments-from-taxpayer-funded-inventions\/\" title=\"Watchdog group exposes Fauci and NIH scientists receiving royalties from taxpayer-funded inventions.\">newly released documents\u2062 reveal<\/a> that officials \u200dinitially recommended more charges against Mr. Biden than \u2063were\u200b ultimately brought forward.<\/p>\n<p>For instance, Zeigler\u200b suggested charging Biden with felonies for\u2062 tax evasion\u2064 and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/george-santos-hit-with-fec-ethics-complaint\/\" title=\"George Santos Hit With FEC Ethics Complaint\">submitting false information<\/a> on\u200b his returns. Another\u2062 document mentions a phone call where \u2064DOJ\u200d prosecutors proposed three \u200dmisdemeanors and a \u2063felony charge for different years. However, Biden\u200c was ultimately only charged \u200bwith\u200c misdemeanors for \u2062two years of unpaid taxes.<\/p>\n<p>Rep. Smith emphasized that this \u2062new evidence supports the ongoing impeachment inquiry into the president.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;These emails consistently show how they were obstructed from doing \u2063their job,&#8221; \u2062added Rep.\u2064 Beth Van Duyne (R-Texas), another committee member.<\/p>\n<div class=\"lazyload-wrapper\">\n<div class=\"lazyload-placeholder\"><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Earlier this year, IRS\u200d officials \u200bcame forward\u2064 with concerns about the handling of the investigation.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;At\u200d every stage, decisions \u200dwere made that favored the subject of the investigation,&#8221; testified Shapley during \u2064a \u2064congressional hearing.<\/p>\n<p>One notable example\u2064 was the planned \u2063search\u200d warrant for President Biden&#8217;s\u200b Delaware home, which was \u200dultimately abandoned\u200c due to concerns about the\u200d optics of executing such a\u200d warrant at the president&#8217;s\u2063 residence, as \u200cstated by DOJ officials.<\/p>\n<p>The whistleblowers also revealed that officials advised against asking \u2064questions about the president \u200dduring\u200b witness interviews, despite some of Biden&#8217;s \u2064business\u200d communications referencing his\u2063 father.<\/p>\n<p>Following the\u200b whistleblowers&#8217; disclosure to Congress, the DOJ initially charged Biden with\u2062 two misdemeanor \u2064tax offenses and a felony gun\u2063 charge. However, a plea deal fell apart during questioning by \u200ca U.S. judge, and Biden pleaded \u200dnot guilty to the tax charges.<\/p>\n<p>Prosecutors subsequently dismissed the tax charges\u2064 and instead charged Biden with three felonies related to alleged illegal possession of a firearm while \u200bbeing\u200c a drug addict.\u200d Biden has openly admitted to past drug addiction in interviews and his book.<\/p>\n<div class=\"my-5\">\n<p>Biden intends\u2064 to plead not guilty \u2063to the gun \u200ccharges \u200dand\u2062 has filed a \u200dlawsuit against the \u200dIRS, accusing\u200b the whistleblowers \u2062of violating his privacy\u200d rights by discussing the investigation and his business dealings.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>&#8220;The lawsuit\u200d is about the decision by\u2062 IRS employees, their \u2063representatives, \u200cand others to disregard their obligations and\u2063 repeatedly and intentionally publicly disclose and \u2063disseminate Mr. Biden\u2019s protected\u200b <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/exclusive-reps-jordan-issa-demand-transparency-from-irs-over-partisan-leak-of-tax-records\/\" title=\"EXCLUSIVE: Reps. This raises serious\u200c questions about the integrity of the investigation and whether there was any attempt to protect President Biden&#8217;s son from facing more severe charges.<\/p>\n<p>The\u2063 newly released documents also reveal \u2064discrepancies between\u200b what\u200d the \u200bofficials initially recommended and what \u200dcharges\u200b were ultimately brought\u2062 against \u200bMr.\u2063 Biden.
