As they returned to their vehicle \u2064to get something to break the car\u2063 window,\u200d the slumped-over man suddenly started\u2062 the car and rammed into the couple&#8217;s \u2062vehicle. When the man\u2064 put \u200dthe \u2062car in reverse, it \u200bhit Scruggs&#8217; vehicle, leading to\u200b the violent confrontation.<\/p>\n<p>The injured\u2063 driver was taken\u200c to\u200c the\u2064 hospital \u2062with serious but\u2063 non<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/off-duty-austin-police-officer-forced-to-confront-armed-suspect\/\" title=\"Off-duty Austin police officer forced to confront armed suspect\">-life-threatening injuries<\/a>.
