Companies are doing extremely well and we\u2064 are demanding that workers\u200c aren\u2019t left\u200d behind.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Eighty-eight \u200bpercent of CWU&#8217;s roughly\u200c 60,000 members are situated in Las Vegas, totaling about 53,000 employees.<\/p>\n<p>Maria Sanchez, a guest room\u2062 attendant at the Bellagio and a Culinary Union member for three years, said during the proceedings that\u2064 she feels she is &#8220;living to work&#8221; and does not think one job is\u200d enough to support her family and\u2064 their future.<\/p>\n<h2>Labor Strife Nationwide<\/h2>\n<p>Over the last 12 months, labor \u2064unions\u2064 across the country and in multiple sectors have organized and gone on \u2063strike for higher\u2064 pay and\u200c better compensation\u2063 packages.
