My father, a respected family doctor, had no association with\u200d the\u200d AMA and neither did any of \u2064his colleagues. He dedicated his time to patient care, his family, his church, and community \u200bservice.<\/p>\n<p>In contrast, doctors like those writing for the New \u200bEngland Journal of \u2063Medicine reconcile their radical\u200b pro-abortion stance by disregarding the harm caused \u2064to their\u2063 patients. Advocating for an unlimited right to\u200b terminate unborn \u2064human lives\u2063 requires a deliberate\u200d moral \u200bblindness, treating the developing fetus as mere property with no inherent rights.<\/p>\n<h2>Progressive Pieties<\/h2>\n<p>The activist doctors&#8217; concern for marginalized communities, such as &#8220;black, Latinx, and indigenous people,&#8221; loses its benevolence when they advocate for the termination of\u200b more babies from these communities in the second \u200cand third trimesters.<\/p>\n<p>Their claim that \u200cstate control undermines patient and clinician autonomy contradicts their progressive beliefs.
