Placing 20 points on one topic and 10 points on another, for example, would mean that individual wanted politicians \u200dto spend twice as much \u2062time on the first. The survey generated similar results, with respondents requesting the most time\u2063 be given to transgender activism and illegal immigration.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><\/figure>\n<p>Cultural issues \u200bdominated voters\u2019\u2063 priorities, with 44 percent of points \u200ballocated \u2063to the top battlegrounds of the culture war. Comparatively, voters\u2063 assigned only \u206323 percent of points to what the survey called \u201cConsensus Challenges\u201d\u200b that \u201chave\u2062 been and remain consensus issues among conservatives.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-8a1299ec024d87e2f84762cf25a7b599 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-6\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-8a1299ec024d87e2f84762cf25a7b599\"><\/div>\n<p>Only 15 percent of points were given\u2064 to \u201cOld Right\u201d challenges\u2063 \u201cthat have\u200c traditionally provided the core of the\u200c Republican\u2064 Party message\u201d \u2062such as taxes, \u2063trade, and \u2063regulation.<\/p>\n<p>The economy still loomed large in voters\u2019 \u200bminds, but American \u2064Compass reported \u201cthe center of gravity has shifted quickly\u201d toward the financial concerns\u200b of\u200c working families. Ninety percent of voters agreed with the statement \u201cit has gotten harder for a family to achieve\u200b middle-class security in America.\u201d\u200c Only 10 percent said that\u200c much has become easier.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFewer than 30% of\u2062 voters \u200dstill emphasize Old Right issues \u2062while more than\u2064 40% give\u200d preference instead to New Right issues like globalization, financialization,\u200d and worker\u200d power,\u201d the poll results suggest.<\/p>\n<p>While the Republican Party used to be seen as friendly \u2063to\u200d Wall Street, GOP\u200b voters were critical.
