Version: 4.0.47--><h2>Major Retailer Target to Close 9 Stores in Democrat Strongholds Due to Crime<\/h2>\n<p>A major retailer has announced the closure of nine \u200bstores in \u200bfour major American cities.<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2023\/09\/26\/target-says-it-will-close-nine-stores-citing-violence-and-theft-.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CNBC<\/a> \u200breported that\u2062 Target said it \u200cwould be shuttering one store in New York City, two in Seattle, three in the San Francisco Bay\u200d Area, and three in Portland.<\/p>\n<p>Target said that the decision \u2063was made to close the stores due\u2063 to \u2063the real\u2062 threat of organized crime in those areas.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cWe cannot \u2064continue operating these stores\u200b because theft and organized retail crime are\u200b threatening the safety of our team and guests, and contributing to unsustainable \u200cbusiness performance,\u201d Target said in a statement.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Target acknowledged the importance of its stores to \u200bmany people but said that safety must come \u2064first, \u2062\u201cWe know that our stores serve \u200can\u2063 important role in their\u200b communities, but \u2064we can \u200conly be successful if the working and shopping environment is safe for all.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The CNBC report states \u200bthat Target had been \u200dtaking steps to stop crime in\u2062 stores, such as putting some merchandise \u200bin locked cases, hiring \u200dmore security guards, and training staff on \u200dhow to de-escalate a situation.<\/p>\n<p>Despite all of these efforts, however, \u200bTarget\u2064 has been unable to withstand the rapid rise in crime in certain areas of\u2064 the country.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cDespite our efforts, unfortunately, we continue to face fundamental challenges to operating these \u2063stores safely and successfully,\u201d Target\u2019s statement read.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>What the report fails\u200d to mention, \u2063however, is that the four cities in question \u200d\u2014 New York, San Fransisco, Portland, and Seattle \u2014 are left-wing cities notorious for their crime problems.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone who has followed the\u2063 news in recent years knows \u200bthe problems that \u200beach of these cities has had\u2063 with crime, thanks in large part to the insane \u201csoft on crime\u201d policies of their leaders.<\/p>\n<p>If you were to ask people\u2062 which four cities they \u2064thought would be on the list, I\u2019m sure many, if\u200c not most, would guess these \u2062four.<\/p>\n<p>Take San Fransisco for instance, where, despite being full of hippie liberals who would gladly do their shopping at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/whole-foods-flagship-store-makes-1-year-crime-ridden-san-francisco-shutting-doors\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Whole Foods<\/a>, the retailer \u2064was \u2064forced to shut its flagship store downtown after only one year in operation.<\/p>\n<p>Or look at Seattle, which gained notoriety both nationally and internationally after violent leftists seized an area of the city and declared it the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/year-lefties-turn-part-seattle-lawless-autonomous-zone-voters-send-clear-message\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201cCapitol Hill Autonomous Zone.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The only thing that is surprising about this report is the fact that Chicago is not on this list.<\/p>\n<p>After all, anyone who is familiar with recent events in the Windy \u200bCity will know that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/letts-walmart-flees-chicago-amid-rampant-crime-politicians-stop-bleeding-wont\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Walmart<\/a> was forced to\u200d shut many of its locations there due to the massive problems with crime in the city.<\/p>\n<p>So now, because of their leaders\u2019 failure to solve the issue of crime, millions of people will\u200b be denied \u2062access to affordable goods\u2064 and services as Target moves \u2062out.<\/p>\n<p>Looks like these so-called \u200d\u201ccompassionate\u201d policies are not so compassionate to millions of \u200dlaw-abiding Americans.<\/p>\n<div class=\"author_subscription_pitch\">\n<h3>A Note\u200c from Our Founder:<\/h3>\n<p><em><b>Every morning, we at The Western Journal wake up and\u200d pursue our mission of giving you the important information you need about what\u2019s happening in America.<\/b><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.paypal.com\/donate\/?hosted_button_id=BM6XAWRJ8NS7A&#038;utm_source=site&#038;utm_medium=westernjournalism&#038;utm_campaign=authorpitch\"><b>We can\u2019t\u2064 do that without your help.<\/b><\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>America\u200b has been on the receiving end of false narratives.
