If you look at the disparate consequences for public figures ranging from people like Russell Brand\u200c to people like Howard Stern, the public consequences are quite disparate.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>The Allegations Against \u200cRussell Brand<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Russell Brand\u2063 has been accused by four separate women of actions ranging from sexual assault to rape to sexual harassment. \u2064Whether the\u2062 allegations are true or not, I don\u2019t know.\u2062 One thing I <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">do<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">  know is that at \u2064this moment, they\u2019re just allegations. There \u200chas\u200c been\u2064 no <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/russell-brand-gets-pilloried-for-his-behavior-howard-stern-gets-celebrated-for-his-guess-why\/\" title=\"Russell Brand criticized, Howard Stern praised. Can you guess why?\">actual criminal indictment brought<\/a> against him. He\u2019s certainly \u200cnot been convicted of anything. But YouTube \u200bhas suspended Brand from making any money\u2062 on its platform only days after that report broke from Channel\u2062 4 and BBC, outlets that used to pay Brand while he was in \u200cthe midst of his most flagrantly \u200dvile behavior.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">So if there\u200c are serious \u2063allegations \u200cmade \u2063against you of any sort, all of your videos immediately get \u2064demonetized. \u2064(Which is going\u200c to be very bad news for a\u2063 significant number\u2063 of \u200bactors and half the rappers on \u2062the block.) That\u2019s\u2062 a horrible standard. You\u2019ve now created a massive incentive structure for people \u200bto make allegations against people, true or false, in order to \u2064destroy their careers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">I\u2019m <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">not<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">  saying the women who have made\u200c allegations about \u200bBrand are \u200clying. I don\u2019t know whether they are or\u2064 not. I <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">do<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">  \u200d know, \u200cat this point, I have no idea how YouTube could possibly uphold such a standard. Stern has been\u2064 making headlines the last couple of days by \u2063pushing very loudly to\u2062 the Left. He spent virtually my entire\u200c life\u2064 \u2014 from the time I was a teenager \u2014 being an absolute deviant and a\u2064 degraded person\u200d beyond\u2062 all measure. The kinds of behavior that\u200b Stern has regularly engaged in publicly \u200bthroughout his career are nothing\u200d short of disgusting. They \u200care disreputable. They are vile toward women; he had women in his studio \u200dsit on vibrators so he could\u200d record their reactions and blast them out to millions\u2064 of \u2064people in \u2063his audience.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">But now, Stern is \u200capparently one of our moral exemplars. Over the last couple of days, \u2064he ripped into Lauren Boebert, who \u2062engaged in what I think is disgusting behavior; he \u2062referred to her in vile ways.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">How \u200cis Howard\u2063 Stern \u200bable to get away with all this? He\u2063 gets \u2064away with it because \u200bhe \u200cmirrors the political \u200cpriorities of the\u200c Left. You be as gross\u200b as you want to be so long as\u2062 you mirror the political \u2064priorities\u200d of the Left. Stern has \u2064discovered the magic elixir\u200d that wipes away all of your past and present sins, \u2062and \u200bthat is to\u2063 be far enough to the Left. \u2064He\u2019s\u2063 saying all the nostrums everybody on the Left really wants to hear, and that \u2063means it\u2019s fine\u200d for him to do all this.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">So\u2063 why is this important?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Because when you have a class of people who are immunized by their association with certain Left-wing causes, it\u2064 incentivizes bad behavior by those people. Yet, he is still on the radio, still being paid, and still celebrated by many\u200b.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">But why is \u2064Stern\u200d\u2064 able to get away with it? \u2062Why isn\u2019t he facing the\u2063 same\u2062 consequences as Brand? The answer\u200d is\u200c simple: Stern aligns with the Left. His political views and stances fall\u200d in line with the liberal agenda, and as a result, \u2064he is granted immunity from any significant backlash\u200c.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This double standard is not\u200c new. It exists in various aspects of our society. If you align with the\u2063 Left, you are often given a free pass. A single\u2062 controversial statement can lead to being \u2063canceled, losing jobs, and being shunned by society. Meanwhile, individuals on the Left can make similar or \u2063even worse statements \u2063and face little to no repercussions.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>The \u2064Danger of \u2062this Double Standard<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This double standard creates a \u200cdangerous environment where one \u200bside of the political spectrum is allowed to control the narrative and \u2064suppress opposing voices. The\u2064 silencing of dissenting\u2062 voices only \u200dreinforces \u2062echo\u2062 chambers and prevents the healthy exchange of ideas.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Conclusion<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The double standard that exists when \u2063it comes to consequences for those on the Left versus those on the Right is clear.
