Some schools,\u2063 like the one in Maryland, are now requiring masks again,&#8221; the CNN host asked Dr. Cohen.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In response,\u2064 the CDC director stated, &#8220;We want\u2062 people to know \u200bthat there are multiple tools available. Masks are\u2062 just one of them.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In recent weeks, a few public schools in Maryland and Alabama have reintroduced mask mandates due \u200dto an\u2063 increase in COVID-19 cases. Florida Governor Ron\u200d DeSantis has\u200b stated that his state will not reimplement mask\u2064 mandates, and former President \u2063Donald Trump has called on Americans to resist what he describes as tyrannical rules.<\/p>\n<p>Senator J.D. Vance introduced a measure to prohibit federal agencies from \u2064mandating mask orders, but it \u200cwas \u2064blocked by Democrats in the Senate.
