Or \u200bis she \u200djust plain dumb and forgetful?<\/p>\n<p>Because one of those two reasons would explain why\u200b the rabidly pro-union Ocasio-Cortez was spotted driving\u200b around in a \u2064Tesla\u200d electric vehicle\u2063 \u2014 a car that both furthers the bottom line of her arch-nemesis <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-aoc-posts-unhinged-rant-accusing-elon-musk-sabotage\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Elon Musk<\/a> and is decidedly not\u2062 built \u2064by union\u2063 workers.<\/p>\n<p>When\u200b she\u2064 appeared on\u200d Saturday\u2019s \u201cFace the\u200c Nation\u201d on CBS\u2064 News, Ocasio-Cortez was\u200d asked\u200d by host Margaret\u200c Brennan about this seemingly\u2063 contradictory choice of vehicle that flies in the face of her big\u2063 promise to support \u200cthe ballyhooed autoworker\u2019s strike.<\/p>\n<p>You can watch the full\u200d interview below:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div class=\"firefly-embed\">\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>After praising President Joe Biden\u2019s handling of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/uaw-strike-biden-races-join-picket-line-trumps-announced-detroit-visit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">United Auto Worker\u2019s strike<\/a> that has crippled America\u2019s auto\u2062 assembly\u200d lines,\u2064 Brennan actually pressed Ocasio-Cortez\u200b about her car.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou\u200d were quoted back in July saying\u2064 you look \u2064forward to buying a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/pete-buttigieg-rural-drivers-should-buy-electric-cars-because-they-use-the-most-gas\/\" title=\"Pete Buttigieg: Rural Drivers Should Buy Electric Cars Because They Use the Most Gas\">union-made electric vehicle<\/a>, but you currently have a non-union made Tesla,\u201d Brennan said. \u201cUAW already makes some electric vehicles. Why wasn\u2019t that [the way you went]? Is it a problem with the quality? Is it a \u200cproblem\u2063 with the style? \u2062Is the market just not there?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUh, no,\u201d Ocasio-Cortez responded.<\/p>\n<p>She then launched\u2063 into the sort of word salad that would make the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/aoc-grilled-while-supporting-autoworkers-strike-someone-noticed-what-shes-driving\/\" title=\"AOC questioned during autoworkers' strike - her vehicle choice caught attention.\">incumbent vice president blush<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur car was purchased during the pandemic when travel, before a vaccine had come out, so travel between New York and Washington, the\u200c safest way we had determined \u2064was an EV, but that \u2064was prior \u200dto some of the new\u2064 models coming out on the \u2062market that had the range available, but we\u2019re actually looking into\u2064 trading in our\u200d car now.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo, \u200bwe\u2019re looking into it, and hopefully we \u200dwill\u2063 soon.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>For the congresswoman, \u201csoon\u201d has a bit \u200cof a curious meeting.<\/p>\n<p>Despite Brennan citing a \u200bJuly quote, Ocasio-Cortez had actually been \u200dmaking remarks about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/aoc-wants-ditch-tesla-model-3-elon-musk-teased-twitter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ditching her Tesla<\/a> \u200dsince \u2064at least May of last year.<\/p>\n<p>So it\u2019s been well over a calendar year since promising to ditch her car.<\/p>\n<p>And while the thought of a\u2062 Democrat \u2064lawmaker not coming remotely close to adhering to any \u200bsort of a timeline \u200bis hardly new, it\u2019s \u200dalso\u2064 worth\u2063 calling out that\u200c even back in May 2022, Ocasio-Cortez\u2062 was parroting the same <em>exact <\/em>talking points.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt the time, it was the only EV that could \u2062get me from New York to Washington on like one or one-and<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trouble-in-paradise-aoc-wants-to-get-rid-of-her-tesla-after-getting-mocked-by-elon-musk\/\" title=\"Trouble in Paradise: AOC Wants to Get Rid of Her Tesla After Getting Mocked by Elon Musk\">-a-half charges<\/a>,\u201d she told \u200c <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2022-05-24\/tesla-ceo-elon-musk-is-voting-republican-but-democrats-still-like-electric-cars\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bloomberg News<\/a> then.<\/p>\n<p>Familiarly,\u2063 she \u200dadded: \u2062\u201cI would \u2063love to switch.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>So which is it congresswoman?<\/p>\n<p>Are you full of\u200c bologna? \u200cDo you not \u200cactually care about the plight of auto workers \u2062as you gallivant\u2064 around \u200bin \u2063your fanciful car?<\/p>\n<p>Or are \u200byou the political equivalent of Dory \u2014 the goofy fish suffering from short-term memory loss\u200b \u2014 \u200dfrom the \u201cFinding Nemo\u201d movies?<\/p>\n<p>This\u2062 writer \u200csadly thinks it\u2019s more the latter, which means that Americans can \u2062fully expect\u2062 Ocasio-Cortez to spew the \u2064exact same point \u200babout why she\u2019s still driving a \u200dTesla \u200cin another\u200b year.<\/p>\n<h3>A Note\u2064 from Our Founder:<\/h3>\n<p><em><b>Silicon\u200d Valley and the Big Tech tyrants have done everything \u2064they can to\u200b put \u200cThe \u2064Western Journal out of business. Or \u2062are you simply forgetful and unable to follow through on your promises?<\/p>\n<p>The fact \u2062remains that Ocasio-Cortez, who claims to be a \u2063champion for union workers, was driving around in a non-union\u2064 made Tesla. This contradiction raises serious\u200d questions about her \u200dcommitment to the cause she so vehemently supports.<\/p>\n<p>When confronted about her \u2062choice\u200b of vehicle during an interview\u2064 on \u2064&#8221;Face the Nation,&#8221;\u2063 Ocasio-Cortez failed\u200b to \u200bprovide a clear \u2063and coherent explanation.\u200b Instead, she stumbled \u2064through a convoluted \u2062response that \u2063lacked substance.<\/p>\n<p>Her excuse? She claimed that her car was purchased during the \u2063pandemic when travel\u200b between New York and Washington was deemed safer\u200d in \u200dan electric vehicle. However, this explanation\u2062 falls flat when considering that Ocasio-Cortez had been\u2064 talking about \u200cditching her Tesla since at\u200c least May \u2063of the previous year.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s apparent that Ocasio-Cortez&#8217;s statements do not\u200b align with her actions. Despite\u2063 claiming to \u2062be looking into trading in her car,\u200d she has failed to follow through on this \u200cpromise for over a year. This raises doubts about \u2064her sincerity and commitment to supporting union\u2062 workers.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, even when she first made these \u2064remarks in \u2064May 2022, Ocasio-Cortez was already parroting \u2062the same\u200b talking points. She claimed that at the time, \u200bthe Tesla was the only electric vehicle that could get\u2063 her\u2063 from New York to\u200c Washington on one or one-and-a-half charges. How can we trust someone who makes\u200d bold claims\u200b but fails to follow through?<\/p>\n<p>Whether Ocasio-Cortez is being intentionally duplicitous or simply forgetful, her actions undermine her credibility as a representative for union workers. It\u2062 is essential that we have leaders who\u200d not\u200c only talk the talk but also walk the walk.<\/p>\n<p>In conclusion, Ocasio-Cortez&#8217;s decision to drive a non-union made Tesla raises questions about her commitment to supporting union workers. Her failure to provide a satisfactory explanation and her apparent lack\u2062 of action in following through on her promises cast doubt on her sincerity and integrity.
