The key part starts at about the 8:15 mark.<\/p>\n<h3>Should control of Jack \u200bSmith\u2019s \u2064funding be moved \u200dto\u2062 Congress?<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Yes<\/li>\n<li>No<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In\u2062 short, \u2062 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/hardball-marjorie-taylor-greene-threatens-government-shutdown-unless-biden-impeachment-inquiry-vote-happens\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Greene<\/a> wants \u201cto move control of special counsel funding from the Department\u2062 of Justice\u2062 to\u200d Congress,\u201d according to <a href=\"https:\/\/justthenews.com\/government\/congress\/marjorie-taylor-greene-moves-seize-control-special-counsel-funding\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Just\u2063 the News<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo fund a special counsel right now \u2026 the people that have control of that is the \u200bDepartment of Justice \u200citself,\u201d Greene \u2063said on the \u2062podcast\u2064 (about the 9:15 mark in the \u200daudio above. \u201cYou <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/horrifying-images-emerge-showing-devastation-from-30-tornadoes-that-struck-several-states\/\" title=\"Horrifying Images Emerge Showing Devastation From 30+ Tornadoes That Struck Several States\">hear people yell<\/a>, \u2018Defund\u200d Jack Smith,\u2019 and I\u2019ve said it before myself. \u2063But we\u200d are unable \u200bto do it because the Department of Justice controls\u2062 that \u200cslush fund.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy legislation would give Congress\u200d the \u200bauthority and the \u200cpower to fund special counsels every single year, just like all\u2064 of our other appropriation bills,\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is \u200bactually the constitutional\u2064 way, because Congress is in \u2064charge\u2063 of\u2063 the checkbook, not \u200dthe Department of Justice itself,\u201d\u200b Greene\u200c said. \u201cI had \u200ctalked about it with President \u2062Trump \u200cbecause I wanted him \u2062to understand that this is actually not\u2062 political, to\u200d move it back\u200d to Congress. \u200dBecause the Democrat-controlled\u200b Congress would \u200bhave control \u200bof that just as much as a Republican-controlled Congress would have.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>By now, the \u2064accusations of\u200d a two-tiered system of justice over the past couple of \u2062years have become <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/dem-rep-displays-stunning-lack-knowledge-declaration-independence-slavery\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">common knowledge<\/a>. From selective\u200b prosecutions by special counsel Jack Smith prosecuting\u200c Donald Trump\u200c in his bid\u2062 to regain \u200bthe presidency to the \u200dFBI labeling \u200btraditional Catholics as \u201cextremists\u201d to U.S. Attorney \u2064for Delaware (and now special \u200ccounsel) David \u2062Weiss \u200bdrawing up a sweetheart \u2064deal for Hunter Biden, the DOJ isn\u2019t\u200d even \u2063trying to hide its rabid political bias.<\/p>\n<p>Andrew McCarthy \u2014 an \u2062author \u200cand \u2063National Review columnist who served as an assistant U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York and is no fan of Trump \u2014 \u2064has taken Weiss\u2019 \u2062performance apart repeatedly.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe best thing the younger Biden\u2019s defense has going\u200b for it is \u200bnot\u200d the Supreme\u200c Court,\u201d \u2064McCarthy wrote in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalreview.com\/2023\/09\/how-special-counsel-david-weiss-handed-hunter-biden-a-second-amendment-defense\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">column on Tuesday<\/a>. \u201cIt\u2019s the prosecutor.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalreview.com\/2023\/08\/jack-smith-is-a-fanatic\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">National Review<\/a> editor-in-chief Rich Lowry penned a piece \u200din\u200c August \u2064titled, \u201cJack Smith Is a \u200bFanatic.\u201d\u00a0 Lowry \u200cwrote\u2063 that Smith \u201cis in \u2063all likelihood a \u2064Liz Cheney\u2013style zealot driven by a burning\u200c hatred of Donald Trump and all\u2064 he represents.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In other words, the special counsels\u2063 care about the law only as a\u200b means to an\u200d end. They\u2019ll do whatever they can get away \u200bwith \u2063to get what they want.<\/p>\n<p>Biden\u2019s DOJ funding special counsels who look like cornered dogs trying to avoid euthanization is\u2063 madness. Everyone\u200b knows there\u2019s not \u200ca lot that can be done for a rabid dog \u2064but\u2064 to put it to death. \u2064In this case, the\u2062 best thing to do\u200d is to starve them to \u200cdeath by cutting off funds.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI believe that\u2019s the right thing \u2063to do \u2013 to put \u2064it\u200c back under \u2064Congress\u2019s authority,\u201d Greene said\u200c about her plan to move control of special counsel funding from the Department of Justice \u200cto Congress. \u201cAnd \u200bit\u2064 also\u2064 gives us the power to actually defund Jack Smith\u200b or remove David Weiss if\u200b we have the financial controls over\u2062 special counsel.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In\u200d other words, Greene\u2019s\u200b plan would sever the most powerful connection\u200b between Biden and Smith \u2014 the money that\u200c makes \u200dSmith\u2019s persecutions possible.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of August, Greene posted a video on X, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/charles-barkley-goes-on-profane-bud-light-rant-has-nasty-message-for-anyone-boycotting-brand\/\" title=\"Charles Barkley passionately defends Bud Light, delivering a strong message to boycott critics.\">social media \u200cplatform<\/a> formerly \u2062called Twitter, that shows \u2064she\u2019s been thinking\u200d about the plan for some time.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI will not vote to fund the government \u200dif\u2062 Congress doesn\u2019t\u2063 do this: \u2013 Impeachment Inquiry vote on Joe Biden \u2013 Defund Biden\u2019s weaponization of\u200d government \u2013 Eliminate all COVID vaccine and mandates \u2013 No funding for the war in Ukraine,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n<p>Getting rid of Smith and Weiss would go a long way in defeating <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/biden-boasted-unite-country-americans-now-openly-supporting-secession\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Biden\u2019<\/a>s weaponization of government against its own people.<\/p>\n<p>And that\u2019s something every American should be able to get behind.<\/p>\n<p><em><b>A Note from \u200dOur Founder:<\/b><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Silicon Valley and the\u2063 Big Tech tyrants\u200d have done everything they can to\u2064 put The Western Journal out of business.
