The injunction\u2064 also prevents \u200cagencies from flagging \u200dcontent\u2062 or influencing platform guidelines related to \u2063protected free \u2063speech.<\/p>\n<p>However, the injunction allows \u2062federal officials to continue \u200ccorresponding with social media companies regarding criminal activity, national security threats, and other important matters.<\/p>\n<p>On September 8, the U.S. \u2062Court of Appeals for the\u200d 5th Circuit partially upheld Judge Doughty&#8217;s injunction, permitting certain agencies to communicate with companies under specific circumstances.<\/p>\n<div class=\"my-5\">Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey, a Republican,\u200c <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/us\/missouri-ag-gears-up-to-fight-biden-admin-on-social-media-censorship-5452068\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">expressed<\/a> \u200b his \u200dconcerns about the Biden administration&#8217;s \u200b&#8221;vast censorship enterprise&#8221; that targets American voices and operates in a dystopian and Orwellian manner. He believes it should\u2064 be permanently stopped.<\/div>\n<p>During the court proceedings, Bailey mentioned that\u2064 the trial judge\u2062 even asked\u2063 DOJ attorneys if they were familiar with George\u200c Orwell&#8217;s book, &#8220;Nineteen Eighty-Four,&#8221; and its Ministry of Truth.<\/p>\n<p>Bailey stated that the\u2063 discovery process has revealed a relationship of coercion and collusion between the White House and federal\u200d agencies, aiming to\u200b silence American voices on social media platforms,\u200d which violates the First \u200cAmendment.<\/p>\n<p>He emphasized the need to \u2062establish a separation \u2064between tech companies and the state to protect Americans&#8217; First\u2063 Amendment rights.
