Kendi\u2019s preposterous thesis that \u200d\u201cthe \u200conly remedy \u2063to past discrimination\u200d is present discrimination\u201d\u200b becomes\u2062 mainstream \u200dpractice, you know things are \u2062upside down.<\/p>\n<p>Kendi is\u200c the author of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/west-point-sued-after-director-of-admissions-brags-about-what-happens-to-white-applicants\/\" title=\"West Point faces lawsuit over admissions director's discriminatory remarks.\">poorly\u2063 reasoned \u200d2019 leftist\u2062 propaganda book<\/a>, \u201cHow to\u00a0 Be an Antiracist,\u201d which became not only a bestseller, but a\u2062 clarion call for progressives.<\/p>\n<p>In a speech at the Aspen Ideas Festival,\u200b Kendi put his anti-reasoning skills on display, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2021\/07\/22\/ibram-x-kendi-is-the-false-prophet-of-a-dangerous-and-lucrative-faith\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New York Post<\/a>.\u00a0 \u201cWhen I see\u2063 racial disparities, I see racism,\u201d Kendi said. If that isn\u2019t a blanket\u2063 generalization, \u200bthe logical fallacy of that name has no meaning.<\/p>\n<p>And yet Kendi\u2019s obtuse theories have burrowed deep into some of America\u2019s most beloved institutions like a fever-carrying tick in \u200ba bloodhound\u2019s ear.<\/p>\n<p>The United \u2063States Military Academy in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/west-point-experiences-catastrophic-flooding-academy-epicenter-biblical-storm\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">West Point<\/a>, New York\u00a0 \u2014 which has\u2063 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westpoint.edu\/about\/history-of-west-point\/notable-graduates\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">graduated<\/a> the likes of \u2062Ulysses S. Grant, Douglas MacArthur \u2062and\u2062 Dwight D. Eisenhower \u2014 is one such institution.\u00a0 And it\u2019s being called out for it.<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday, \u2064lawyers representing the Students for Fair Admissions sued West Point for alleged race and ethnicity discrimination in admissions decisions, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2023\/09\/19\/anti-affirmative-action-west-point-lawsuit-race-admissions-00116791\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Politico<\/a>. SFFA \u200bis the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/bidens-supreme-court-pick-faces-array-of-ethics-questions\/\" title=\"Biden\u2019s Supreme Court Pick Faces Array of Ethics Questions\">anti-affirmative action group<\/a> that tanked race-conscious admissions practices at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/nations-top-schools-get-horrendous-free-speech-grades-harvard-gets-negative-score\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Harvard<\/a> in a Supreme Court decision.<\/p>\n<p>But the decision that nixed racial admissions policies at Harvard and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/woke-university-reportedly-paid-1619-project-founder-300-minute-spew-crt-bile\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">University of North Carolina<\/a> at Chapel Hill determined \u2062that because no\u2064 military academy was party to the suit, the opinion did not include \u2063admissions issues at these schools \u201cin light of the potentially distinct interests that military academies may present,\u201d according to Politico.<\/p>\n<p>SFFA didn\u2019t agree with the justices\u2019 logic \u200band argued there is \u201cno justification \u2063for using race-based admissions\u201d\u2064 and,\u200d since the practice is now illegal at non-military universities, West Point \u201cis not exempt \u2063from the \u200bConstitution.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>SFFA contends that \u200bWest Point\u200c is violating the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/kinzinger-attempts-give-expertise-5th-amendment-gets-roasted-comments-bad\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fifth Amendment<\/a> with its skewed admission\u200d practices. The Fifth Amendment contains an \u2062equal-protection \u200bprinciple \u2064that binds the federal\u2064 government.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cInstead \u200bof admitting future cadets based on objective metrics and leadership potential,\u2063 West\u200d Point focuses\u200c on race,\u201d the lawsuit claimed. \u201cIn \u2062fact, it openly publishes its racial composition \u2018goals,\u2019 and its director of admissions\u200d brags \u200bthat race is wholly determinative \u200bfor hundreds if not thousands\u2064 of applicants.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBecause <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/ap-woke-theater-cancels-production-cast-wrong-skin-color\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">skin color<\/a> can be \u2014 and \u2063often is\u2063 \u2014 \u200da decisive \u200bfactor for successful applicants who are chosen\u200d from those congressional nominee pools,\u200c it is equally dispositive for \u200dthe \u2063other qualified nominees who are turned away,\u201d the lawsuit states, according to \u2064 <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/regulation\/court-battles\/4212337-west-point-sued-by-group-behind-supreme-court-affirmative-action-lawsuit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Hill<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPut\u2062 differently, because\u2062 race \u200bis a\u2064 \u2018positive\u2019 factor for some \u2064West Point applicants, it is necessarily a \u2018negative\u2019 factor for others.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Also listed\u2062 in the lawsuit as defendants are the Defense Department, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/retired-officer-slams-austin-top-generals-not-standing-biden\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin<\/a>, Army Secretary Christine Wormuth, U.S.\u2062 Military Academy Superintendent Steven \u2064Gilland and West Point Admissions Director Rance\u2063 Lee.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s tough enough to\u2064 get into West \u200cPoint without having your race count against you. You have \u200cno control over who your parents are or what color of \u200cskin you are born \u200cwith; those are existential facts. The color of your skin has\u2063 nothing to do \u2062with skill, determination or integrity.<\/p>\n<p>West Point enrolls 1,200 \u200cto 1,300 cadets per class,\u2064 according\u200b to Politico.\u00a0 Applicants must pass medical exams and a physical fitness test. They have\u200d to get nominated \u2063by either a member of Congress, the vice president\u2062 or \u2063the president. That\u2019s all before prospects can be considered for acceptance \u200cby West Point\u2019s admissions office. Fewer\u200c than \u200b10 percent of applicants are\u2062 admitted.<\/p>\n<p>Having the color \u2064of your skin or ethnicity taken into \u200bconsideration for admission makes about as much sense \u2063as Ibram X. Kendi, whose \u201clogic often descends into dizzying circularity and tautologies,\u201d according to\u200c the Post.\u00a0 When asked to define \u201cracism\u201d at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/progressives-flip-lids-kennedy-reads-books-push-schools\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">progressive<\/a> Aspen Fest, Kendi said it is\u2064 \u201ca collection of\u2063 racist \u2062policies that lead to racial inequity that\u2062 are \u2062substantiated by racist ideas.\u201d Huh?<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s like\u200b West Point contending they \u200buse race-based admissions because skin color matters \u200cwhen a future graduate is leading troops on a battlefield\u200b or advising a president \u2062whether or not to go\u2063 to war.<\/p>\n<p>The average American is better at logic\u2063 \u2014 or possesses more common sense \u2014 than many of our country\u2019s leaders. \u200dThe <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/al-sharpton-tries-shaming-trump-comparing-founding-fathers-gets-instant-history-lesson\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Founding Fathers<\/a> knew this. It\u2019s why they wrote the Constitution in the way they did, by the people and for the people \u2014 regardless of the color of their skin.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor most of its history,\u201d the SFFA lawsuit stated, according\u2063 to\u2063 Politico, \u201cWest Point has evaluated \u2062cadets based on merit and achievement. \u200cAmerica\u2019s enemies do not fight differently based on the race of\u2062 the commanding officer opposing them, soldiers must follow orders without regard \u2064to the skin color of those giving them, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/group-that-ended-affirmative-action-admissions-at-colleges-sues-west-point-claims-discrimination-against-whites\/\" title=\"Group that banned affirmative action admissions at colleges sues West Point, alleging discrimination against whites.\">battlefield realities apply equally<\/a> to all soldiers regardless \u2063of race, ethnicity, or \u2062national origin.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s high time someone started picking the fever-carrying\u200d ticks \u200bof <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/op-ed-mlks-dream-unity-country-tortured-critical-race-theory\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Critical Race Theory<\/a>, antiracism and all the other mumbo jumbo \u2062out of the necks\u200d of our institutions.
