One of the\u200c planes was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/gas-prices-break-record-but-diesel-prices-will-greatly-affect-all-americans-and-the-world\/\" title=\"Gas Prices Break Record, but Diesel Prices Will Greatly Affect All Americans \u2013 And the World\">undergoing routine maintenance<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are replacing the\u2063 affected engines on both aircraft before they are returned \u2062to service,\u201d the\u2064 spokesperson said, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/united-airlines-is-third-carrier-affected-by-suspect-engine-parts-2023-9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Insider<\/a>, \u201cand we\u2019ll continue to investigate as new information becomes available \u2064from our suppliers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>AOG has also supplied \u2063questionable parts to Southwest\u2062 Airlines and\u2064 Virgin Australia Airlines.<\/p>\n<p>According to Insider, the European Union Aviation Safety Agency \u201cissued a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.easa.europa.eu\/en\/domains\/aircraft-products\/suspected-unapproved-parts\/aircraft-parts-distributed-aog-technics\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">notification<\/a> about\u2063 the London-based supplier last month,\u2064 suspecting unapproved parts.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday,\u200b those allegations were brought before \u200ba London court when \u200dpartner companies\u200d in engine maker CFM International asked a judge to force \u200cAOG to turn over documents related to \u201cevery single sale of products,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chicagobusiness.com\/airlines-airports\/thousands-bogus-aog-jet-engine-parts-sold-ge\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Crain\u2019s Chicago Business<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe apparent large-scale falsification \u200dof documentation uncovered by \u2062the claimants gives\u200c rise to\u200d the risk that evidence relevant to these proceedings will \u200dbe destroyed by the defendants,\u201d CFM \u2064lawyers said in court filings.<\/p>\n<p>Lawyers for AOG fought back, claiming the request \u2064was \u201conerous\u201d and that \u2062\u201cthere is no evidence that\u200b it is necessary for all parts to be removed from\u200c the supply\u200d chain,\u201d according to \u2063Crain\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p>But CFM lawyers said AOG has sold \u201cthousands of jet engine parts\u201d to airlines and \u2064aircraft maintenance companies,\u2062 and 96 engines \u2062with AOG parts have already\u2063 been identified.
