Has hell frozen over? Are pigs flying? No. It\u2019s a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/yes-the-half-the-country-the-cdc-director-despises-did-say-all-the-accurate-covid-things-she-insists-nobody-said\/\" title=\"Yes, The \u2018Half The Country\u2019 The CDC Director Despises Did Say All The Accurate Covid Things She Insists \u2018Nobody Said\u2019\">limited hangout<\/a> \u2014 business as usual.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Prosecutors have not charged Hunter with tax fraud, a crime he certainly committed but which \u200dimplicates \u2062his \u200dfather, the \u201cBig Guy\u201d to whom Hunter claims to have paid between 10 \u2064and 50% of his earnings. Prosecutors likewise have not charged the young Biden for failing to register as a\u2064 foreign agent, a\u200c crime he\u2062 also committed and through which he became rich but\u2063 which also, inconveniently, implicates his father.\u2062 Prosecutors did\u2064 not even charge Hunter for crimes related to \u200chis penchant for crack and hookers at home and abroad \u2014 crimes\u2062 that do not directly implicate his father but which\u200d nevertheless paint an ugly portrait of the Biden clan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Instead, Hunter \u2063has \u2063been charged with \u200dlying on some paperwork while purchasing a firearm. That is, \u2062he \u200dis charged with\u2063 making too expansive a use of his Second Amendment rights, cherished by Americans since long before the nation\u2019s founding and defended especially by Joe \u200cBiden\u2019s most trenchant critics. Hunter faces\u200d jail time for his least significant crime, which also happens to be the transgression least damaging to \u200bhis\u2064 father and \u200cmost likely to elicit\u200b sympathy. The \u2064indictment, though less masterful a political maneuver than the\u200d Justice Department\u2019s previous attempt to let \u200chim off \u200bwith a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/ghislaine-maxwell-now-accusing-prison-guard-of-abuse\/\" title=\"Ghislaine Maxwell Now Accusing Prison Guard Of Abuse\">sweetheart plea deal<\/a>, impresses nevertheless.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Victor Marchetti, a former special\u2062 assistant to the deputy director of the CIA, described the tactic succinctly. \u201cA limited hangout,\u2019\u201d he\u2064 wrote, \u201cis spy jargon for a favorite \u2064and frequently used gimmick of the clandestine professionals: when their veil \u200dof secrecy is shredded and they can \u2064no longer rely on a phony cover story to misinform the public, they resort to admitting \u2014 sometimes even volunteering \u2014 some of the \u200btruth \u200dwhile still managing to withhold the key and damaging facts in the case.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In the case of the Bidens, a veil of secrecy no longer obscures their corruption. First, Joe denied knowledge of Hunter\u2019s business deals. \u2062Then, Hunter admitted to discussing\u2064 the deals with his father. Next, Joe Biden denied active involvement in the graft.\u200c Then, handwritten notes and phone logs revealed Joe\u2019s participation \u200cin dozens of Hunter\u2019s \u200ccrooked meetings. So Joe spun his participation as perfunctory pleasantries to appease\u2062 his son. Then, investigators\u2063 discovered several pseudonyms, present in thousands of emails, by which Biden as Vice President of the United States got into the nitty gritty of the deals. Now Hunter has been indicted for lying to a\u2062 gun store clerk.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>What Happened to the Tax Charges?<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">But what ever happened to the\u200d tax charges? The Department of Justice seemed\u200c willing to pursue them just \u2062as long as a federal judge let Hunter \u2063off the hook\u200b without the still-hidden details of his\u200d business dealings \u2063ever seeing the light of day. When U.S. District Judge Maryellen Noreika rejected that proposal in July, the DOJ decided to drop the charges altogether. Did the prosecutors suddenly conclude that Hunter had not \u200bin fact committed the crime? Or was the prosecution a farce from the start?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The gun charges carry\u200b with them the prospect of 25 years in federal prison. But does anyone believe that Joe Biden \u200dwould permit his only surviving son to languish in jail even if prosecutors managed to convict him?
