The best testimony against not being vaccinated\u2062 can&#8217;t come because those who aren&#8217;t standing and have passed away can&#8217;t say anything today. The vaccines have worked. They&#8217;re saving lives. They&#8217;re keeping people out of the hospital. And\u200b I think today we can all gather here and be fairly safe, even though we&#8217;re not wearing masks, because most of us have been vaccinated.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Becerra failed to provide specific data to support his claims, \u2064and his agency did not respond to requests for citations.<\/p>\n<p>During the briefing, he emphasized the importance of protecting loved ones\u200d by getting vaccinated. Mr. Becerra shared a\u200d personal \u200danecdote about celebrating \u2063his mother&#8217;s 90th birthday, expressing confidence that he \u200cwouldn&#8217;t \u200dspread COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;No one\u2063 is\u200c safe until everyone \u2062is, and so it is time for us to do what we know best during\u2063 this heightened fall and winter\u200c virus season.\u2063 Let&#8217;s protect our loved ones,&#8221; he urged.<\/p>\n<div class=\"my-5\">\n<p>Dr. Harvey Risch, a professor emeritus of epidemiology at the Yale \u2064School of Public Health, criticized Secretary Becerra&#8217;s statements, stating, &#8220;Apparently, Secretary Becerra has not \u200creviewed the empirical\u200b studies bearing on his ludicrous statements.&#8221; Dr. Risch pointed\u2064 out that\u2063 a significant portion of the population alive\u2064 today has not received the COVID-19 vaccines.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"my-5\">\n<p>Dr. Risch also highlighted the side effects experienced by\u2064 some individuals who received the vaccines, including cases of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/pfizer-hired-600-employees-due-to-large-increase-of-adverse-event-reports\/\" title=\"Pfizer Hired 600 Employees Due to \u201cLarge Increase of Adverse Event Reports\u201d\">severe allergic shock<\/a> and heart inflammation, which have resulted in fatalities.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The CEOs of\u2062 Moderna and Pfizer, St\u00e9phane Bancel and Albert Bourla, respectively, were present at the event. Mr. Bancel\u2063 echoed\u2063 claims about the vaccines preventing transmission and \u200curged people to protect themselves and their loved\u200d ones.<\/p>\n<div class=\"my-5\">\n<p>Moderna did not provide data to support Mr. Bancel&#8217;s\u2064 claim. <\/p>\n<h2>Data on Vaccines<\/h2>\n<p> Vaccines are typically approved based on clinical trial data demonstrating \u2063their effectiveness and safety.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Pfizer reported conducting a trial for the new vaccines but did not disclose the results. Moderna\u200c shared immunogenicity \u200bresults from a trial involving 50 participants who received their new shots.
