However, he passionately defended his approach to the probe, leaving little doubt about his commitment to\u200c the case.<\/p>\n<p>Garland repeatedly cited \u200cthe need to protect &#8220;internal deliberations&#8221; in \u200bongoing investigations as the reason for his silence. This frustrated Republicans who \u2063sought answers regarding the appointment of Delaware \u2063U.S. attorney\u200d David Weiss as special\u2064 counsel and allegations of Weiss&#8217;s alleged mishandling of \u2062the Biden probe.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m not going to get into the \u2062internal\u2063 deliberations,&#8221; Garland firmly stated, refusing to divulge further information.<\/p>\n<p>Despite his limited revelations, Garland vehemently asserted that he did not interfere with the investigation. &#8220;I&#8217;m gonna say again, and again if necessary, I did not interfere,&#8221; he \u2063emphasized during a heated exchange.<\/p>\n<p>Both Garland and Weiss faced scrutiny following claims made by IRS agents Gary Shapley and Joseph Ziegler, who alleged unusual decisions were \u200cmade throughout the probe.
