We&#8217;re not going to stop them from doing that,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;So\u200d if a CHS \u2062was there \u200band then we found \u2064out afterwards, that doesn&#8217;t necessarily\u200c mean that there\u2064 was malicious, nefarious action\u2062 by the FBI to put that person there, \u200cright. They might \u200bhave just been there and then told us after the fact that they went. \u2062That happens all \u200dthe time. And I think\u2063 that&#8217;s when\u2062 we started getting responses back. I think also\u200d through the course \u2062of some investigations we would find\u200d out that there was a CHS involved.&#8221;<\/p>\n<div class=\"my-5\">\n<p>The former \u2064FBI\u2064 official highlighted \u200done informant who <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/us\/fbi-jan-6-informant-says-he-could-break-the-law-in-certain-situations-5168568\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">testified<\/a> that he \u200dwas given permission \u2064to break the law if necessary to protect \u200bhimself from the crowd. This informant \u200ctraveled from Kansas City,\u200c Missouri, to \u2063Washington.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>&#8220;The one in particular I&#8217;m\u200c remembering was the Kansas City CHS that I believe the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/fbi-had-multiple-informants-in-jan-6-crowd-former-director\/\" title=\"Former FBI Director reveals multiple informants in Jan. 6 crowd.\">case agent knew<\/a> he was coming because\u200d I think he told them,&#8221; \u200bMr.\u2062 D&#8217;Antuono\u2064 said. This person maintained\u2063 contact\u2063 with their FBI \u2063handler while being present in the\u200c crowd.<\/p>\n<p>A poll conducted among other field \u2063offices revealed\u200b the presence of multiple informants in the crowd.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I think it was a \u200bhandful, but I&#8217;m \u200bnot honestly sure,&#8221; \u200bMr.\u2063 D&#8217;Antuono said.\u200b He later added, &#8220;my recollection is maybe a handful of people, but I can&#8217;t say for sure.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>He \u200calso mentioned that the number includes informants who did not inform their handlers about their attendance, as well as \u200cthose\u200d who did notify their \u200chandlers.<\/p>\n<p>According to Mr. D&#8217;Antuono, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/parler-worked-with-fbi-to-target-threats-prior-to-capitol-riot-company-says\/\" title=\"Parler Worked With FBI To Target Threats Prior To Capitol Riot, Company Says\">field offices<\/a> are supposed to inform each other when a source enters their territory, but this does not always happen.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Even in Baltimore, which is right next door, coming\u200d into WFO, technically, they&#8217;re supposed to tell \u200bus when they&#8217;re coming into \u200dWFO&#8217;s territory. Realistically, does it always \u2064happen? \u2064No. And that&#8217;s what causes some consternation, like, why are you doing an operation in our city?&#8221;\u2063 he said. &#8220;And the reason for that is because\u200b if there&#8217;s a shooting or something happens, you need to know, right. If all of a sudden \u200bFBI agents \u200cget into a shooting and I&#8217;m getting called by the deputy director saying your people are\u2014my people aren&#8217;t deployed. What the hell&#8217;s going on?\u200b Then that&#8217;s a bad day. That&#8217;s\u200b a \u200dproblem, right.
