Trump gaining unprecedented minority support.\">set modern-day records<\/a> for a Republican in a presidential election,\u201d the Post\u2019s Aaron\u2063 Blake wrote. \u201cTrump in 2020 took just 8 percent of Black voters and 36 percent of \u200dHispanic \u200dvoters, according to \u200bthe <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/spreadsheets\/d\/1JKd0lNwopBqXpDglgvkrlqWgbTvsNNNSaWVtj-EkLJs\/edit#gid=970549130\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pew Research\u2062 Center\u2019s validated voter survey<\/a>. Exit polls pegged those figures at 12 percent of\u200d Black voters and 32 percent of Hispanic voters.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A recent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2023\/09\/05\/upshot\/biden-trump-black-hispanic-voters.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New York Times\/Siena College poll<\/a> national poll indicates that President Joe Biden is severely underperforming among nonwhite \u2062voters, especially compared to his support in the 2020\u2062 election.<\/p>\n<p>On average, Biden \u2062leads Donald Trump \u200dby 53 percent to 28 percent among registered nonwhite voters in polls from 2022 and 2023. Biden was supported \u200bby 70 percent support\u200b of nonwhite voters in 2020,\u2064 according to the\u2062 Times.<\/p>\n<p>Nate Cohn, the Times\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/opinion-the-american-media-has-spread-russian-propaganda-more-effectively-than-russia-itself\/\" title=\"OPINION: The American Media Has Spread Russian Propaganda More Effectively Than Russia Itself\">chief political analyst<\/a>, pointed out an interesting trend in The Tilt, a Times newsletter:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDemocrats have lost ground among nonwhite voters in\u2063 almost every election over \u2063the\u2062 last decade, even as\u2063 racially charged fights over everything from\u200d a border wall to kneeling \u2064during the national anthem \u200cmight have been expected to produce the exact opposite \u200bresult,\u201d Cohn wrote.<\/p>\n<p>Cohn\u2019s statement demonstrates the cognitive dissonance \u2063experienced by those on the left as \u2062policies and \u2063agendas they believed would decrease minority support for Trump and the Republican\u2063 party are, in fact, having the opposite effect.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Black people starting to sound like <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Trump?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Trump<\/a>. The <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/BorderCrisis?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#BorderCrisis<\/a> is \u2064helping to\u2063 grow RNC support. Also, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GOP?\">@GOP<\/a> could break 20% if <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Biden?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Biden<\/a> dumps Kamala. While\u200c \u201coverwhelming support\u201d still \u200dpersists among black \u200bregistered voters over 45, \u200bwho\u200d back Biden by 83 percent\u200d to 8 percent, that lead drops to 59\u2064 percent to 14 percent among black respondents under 45.<\/p>\n<p>According to\u200d the Post, in the past 50 years, no <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/8-gop-presidential-candidates-participating-debate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Republican presidential candidate<\/a> has come \u200bclose \u200bto getting 20 percent of the black vote.
